Not just a great way to boost your Galaxy Readiness, but one of the best games the iOS platform has to offer.

Mass Effect: Infiltrator honors de series. After the first and mediocre first attempt of EA and Bioware in iOS, now Mass Effect and its universe have a great adaptation, with ever growing content.

IronMonkey Studios have done a brilliant job in bringing a bite sized version of the Mass Effect story to the mobile world.

Finally, and this may be inconsequential to the game, or indeed the entire Mass Effect universe, but why are there so many Australians in space?

Even though Infiltrator's controls could use a little tweaking, they're still extremely intuitive. The combat is very satisfying and exhilarating when it flows properly. Plus old chapters can be reloaded to earn even more cash if things start to get too tough. I have to admit I'm very, very impressed.

Tie-ins often get a bad rep (and for good reasons), but Mass Effect Infiltrator is worthy of play in its own right, which is high praise for games of this type - while not a true miniaturization of the full game, it captures the title's combat and style while providing something distinctly 'iOS' in its execution.

I really did enjoy Mass Effect: Infiltrator and is serves as a wonder companion to the just released Mass Effect 3. I do wish it tied in story wise a little closer to that game, since I'd wager that most of us are playing the two concurrently. Despite this, it's given me a way to enjoy the world while away from home, and more Mass Effect is always a welcome sight.

A cover-based shooter with RPG elements and great visuals but little to no story, Mass Effect Infiltrator offers enjoyable, quick-burst gameplay in bite-sized pieces that feels right at home on a mobile device.

Mass Effect: Infiltrator isn't much of a companion piece to the new console game, but rather an independent action shooter that uses some familiar designs and set pieces from the console series. There is very little role-playing and even less story, but if you crave a challenging action-shooter that's all about stylish combat that mixes weapons and powers and top-tier production values then it doesn't get much better than this.

An interesting spin-off to the main Mass Effect universe, only the most hardcore of fans will look past the repetitive on-rails game play and iffy controls.

Granted, it's not some cheap mini-game or crappy animated comic, but it still feels more like a quickly-planned tie-in than a full standalone experience.

Overall, Mass Effect fans could take or leave Infiltrator. It's not some important lost lore chapter. It's the best mobile Mass Effect experience yet, but it's got a long way to go to catch up with its console big brother.

Infiltrator provides a small slice of the big budget experience on a portable device, and there's a wonderful sense of satisfaction that comes from cutting through a small band of soldiers. It also helps that it's easy on the eyes and presents a decent story.

Mass Effect Infiltrator aims for cover based shooting on iOS and actually hits it pretty close to the mark. A couple of cover issues here and there don't spoil the enjoyment of a fast paced, tactical game with a lot of replay value. Whilst the story might be a tad bland for loyal fans of the series, Infiltrator is a sound game that all iOS users should try.

Looks great, but plays in a way that proves that iPad is not an action games device.

Technically convincing Mass Effect Infiltrator is a step forward for EA Mobile gaming but not a new point of arrival.

A well-made lite tie-in rather than any meaningful canonical contribution.

Infiltrator's rote and unexceptional gameplay doesn't live up to the promise of the game's gorgeous visuals. Gamers that don't mind some control frustrations will find a lot to like within the six hour campaign, but there are also plenty of ways the experience could have been spiced up and smoothed out.

Infiltrator is just an average distraction for Mass Effect fans.

This game disappoints Mass Effect fans, due to a bad control system and a too high price.
