Extremely unforgiving AI, coupled with beautiful artwork, and an array of deployable units places this turn-based strategy game squarely in must have status for any strategy buff.

The best strategy game I have played this year. It offers just the right mix of features I'm looking for in a good game: great balance, easy to learn basic principles and a behavior that is tightly controlled by the developer.

Massive Assault’s gameplay is simple to understand, difficult to conquer, and most importantly, very addictive. The action is fast and intense, which makes the game feel like an RTS at certain times.

It's a visually pleasing game that has the tweakability to scale down to relatively slow computers, but you'll need a large block of time to figure out the subtleties of the battlefield and the unit combination for particular environments and situations.

The graphics are nice, the gameplay is simple to pick up (but hard to master) and finding an online opponent doesn't seem to be a problem at the moment. If you like turn-based strategy games then you can't go wrong.

Despite issues regarding balance and difficulty in gameplay, Massive Assault does offer an entertaining turn-based game that novice strategist can easily get into.

A fun and engrossing title that provides a constant unrelenting challenge. It is beautiful to watch, has some of the largest maps I’ve seen in any strategy title of this nature.

When the smoke clears, you're left with a great feeling of satisfaction at having beaten such vicious single-player AI.

It is engaging at times but it is not always forgiving both in difficulty level and features to make it a truly well-rounded product.

One can't help imagine what might have been if more units had been added and specialized tactics would have been allowed to take shape.

Even though Massive Assault is fairly easy to learn and is very user-friendly, it can be excessively difficult, sometimes putting an end to the fun as soon as it begins.

While Massive Assault has the potential to be a massive assault on your free time, it falls a bit short due to the repetitive feel and limited depth of the gameplay.

The game has many hours of enjoyment for someone looking for a little different twist in turn based action or even standard rts games. It has a quick learning curve and you can get into the action very quickly.

A good title if you’re serious about your strategy games. Casual strategic commanders and those that think the sun rises and sets over "Age of Mythology" and the like probably won’t see the draw or attraction.

The simplicity of this system betrays the insidiously difficult gameplay.
