More beautiful than the game’s musical bliss however, is the controls.

The visuals and sound are very well done, as the only drawback to the game is that it is very difficult to pull off tricks at times.

A massive improvement over the previous Mat Hoffman title on the PSone. It’s nothing too original and it does have its flaws.

This would have been more fun, and no less replayable, if Rainbow had dialed down the difficulty a little bit.

Hoffman's sequel is so advanced - not just graphically - that it makes the first game feel like a bike with no chain.

When you get into the game you're gonna experience a major case of "been there, done that" if you're an experienced Tony Hawk player...Other than that, Mat 2 is a killer game.

The updated engine and trick system make for plenty of fun, but the irritating level setup will make all but the burliest riders drop their controllers in annoyance. However, this game is on the right track.

A solid game, but I just wish it brought more to the genre as far as originality.

The buttons can be unresponsive, and the pace is slower than it should be. On the upside, flatland tricks live up to the hype; you can string great combos together.

The game's shallow goal design keeps it from achieving the same level of addictiveness as games like "Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3" and "Aggressive Inline."

If you're down for another BMXer, Hoffman 3 is without a doubt the best it gets.

Granted the Road Trip mode can get kinda frustrating and boring, but experiencing the various levels and checking out the behind-the-scenes video footage is almost worth the aggravation.
