The ambitious use of sound, a component inexcusably overlooked too often, has always elevated this series, and here it continues to chill...We don't play MoH as much as have it happen to us.

One of the most incredible experiences I have ever had with a game.

Riveting first-person combat set across a mesmerizing WWII landscape. A game this good is practically a recruitment poster for the PS2.

With the incredible soundtrack and the emotions that the game invokes, Frontline is one of the best games of the year.

This is the single most impressive piece of software the PS2 has seen since "GTA3." Where the Rockstar game innovated in its style of play Frontline innovates in the perfection of its execution. We’ve seen first-person shooters before, but nothing like this. Nothing as superbly crafted as this.

The controls may be a little iffy at first, the frame rate drops ever so-often; but the war sounds and game play more than make up for every fault the game has.

The attention to detail is mind-boggling. I don't know how they did it, but EA has created a game with enemies that can practically think for themselves. The soldiers will swarm around you in a deadly strategic pattern. Their intelligence is amazing.

The realism, atmosphere, sound, and diversified gameplay is more than enough to keep players in their seats for hours.

With its incredible graphics, breathtaking action and painstaking authenticity, Frontline is the best WWII console game ever released.

A wonderful single player experience. While there isn't an overall story to the game, the cutscenes and mission briefs add depth and flavor to the game.

It bests its predecessors in one key area: Every mission conveys a nail-biting tension that absorbs the player as never before.

GameSpot May 7, 2024
It's visually impressive and aurally incredible, and it essentially is a superb entry in the shooter genre.

Cincinnati Enquirer May 7, 2024
A rare example of how to successfully evoke emotion in an interactive medium.

GamePen May 7, 2024
What makes this game look and feel so different from the competition is its amazing ability to render realistic looking environments.

It's something that is planned in development to the last incoming grenade and Frontline is pretty much perfect in terms of dragging you into the action and delivering nail-biting, hair-pulling gameplay.

No console shooter has ever been so flat-out incredible at promoting suspension of disbelief before.

Gung-ho and trigger happy, Frontline is horrifically good war-mongering fun.

ActionTrip May 7, 2024
Making a realistic FPS based on WWII is highly tasteless and somewhat degrading to soldiers who fought during the war.

Game Over Online May 7, 2024
The first couple levels are excellent and there are jewels hidden throughout the rest of the game. It just becomes a little frustrating to wade through all the other fillers that lie between.

A near PC quality experience without the patches and expensive hardware. MOH: Frontline is very linear and doesn't warrant much of your time after perhaps the third play through, but the ride is still very, very fun.
