Warfighter is just one of many shooters on the market. It has no distinctive treats and no particular refinements that can differentiate it from the mediocrity of others.

All in all, Medal of Honor: Warfighter is a nice surprise after last year's let down of sorts, and it's nice to see the direction that the studio is going for by blending realism that is inspired by true events but keeping game play mild enough that casual fans won't feel too overwhelmed.

Medal of Honor's reboot in 2010 was high speed, low drag, but this year's title just feels like a rush job – a little 6P (Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance) could have gone a long way.

The major fault of Medal of Honor: Warfighter is the missing unique characteristic. Except for the Fireteam there are no innovations and whilst the single player campaign is too short everything in it feels long-known and you simply can't escape the "been there done that feeling".

A decent addition to the series, Warfighter brings some new ideas to the mix and offers a solid experience for every FPS fan. Its main issue is the lack of vision to push a bit further from the classic formula and offer something unique.

The game brings nothing new to the shooting genre; it's predictable and seems to be nothing more than a stop-gap before EA's behemoth Battlefield 4 is eventually released. Warfighter could have been so much more, but alas it wasn't.

A completely unconvincing campaign is coupled with a good multiplayer with some interesting modes and choices.

Decidedly 'meh.'

Same old story, we already saw everything from MOH: Warfighter in other games. Nothing really new to discuss.

Medal of Honor Warfighter is another War FPS with generic and too short campaign. Its multiplayer adds some interesting stuff to a classic formula, but it's limited by the lack of variety and size of the maps.

There's fun to be had, but there's still quite a long way to go for the Medal of Honor series to bridge that gap between Battlefield and Call of Duty, and hit the high notes it once did.

In spite of some strong individual elements, it ends up feeling like a sloppy and ultimately pointless conflict. Focusing on superficial distinctions that add nothing to the game, Warfighter lacks a convincing reason to fight, and there's no reason anyone should pick up the banner apart from brand loyalty or sheer boredom.

Medal of Honor: Warfighter's strong visual design and online gameplay are its most impressive features. That being said, gamers have little to immerse themselves with in the single-player campaign.

After playing Call of Duty, with its ultra-smooth animation, Medal of Honor: Warfighter feels positively sluggish. I found myself constantly sprinting just to get that feeling of motion I'm used to in Modern Warfare and Black Ops.

You shouldn't dismiss the game as wholly unworthy: online multiplayer is good fun, and the campaign shows signs of life, occasionally letting you see past the me-too warfare and appreciate a brief flash of imagination. But on the whole, Warfighter leaves you thinking, "Yep, that's a military shooter, all right." Its heroes strive for greatness; the game they star in is merely serviceable.

It does all the things that sort of game is supposed to do, but not with the flair or invention that would make it possible to care again about playing something you remember having played so many times before.

While this globetrotting, tier-one engagement has some fun beneath its gritty fingernails, it fails as the category flag-bearer it wants to be. And that's unfortunate, because Medal of Honor innovated in its gunplay-friendly space so many years ago. Now, it stands as a bastion of blasé.

While it is certainly not offensive on any level, it also fails to be impressive most of the time. The campaign is all over the place, and the Fire Team mechanic is outstanding, but the rest feels inconsistent at times, and incomplete at others.

Warfighter is a decent multiplayer cross-over between Battlefield and Call of Duty. However, stay far away from the bug filled and linear single player campaign.

That being said, Warfighter isn't necessarily a bad game, and there are some fantastic set-pieces and nice ideas in the multiplayer mode.
