Brilliant level design and wonderfully gimmicky characters.

Apart from any disappointment about the length of the game, Mega Man 10 still has plenty to offer, and for a game that costs $10, you're getting a lot of bang for your buck.

Mega Man 10 is a wonderfully challenging package wrapped up in a charming, 8-bit time capsule. It has its tongue planted firmly in cheek and delivers a ridiculously fun experience for all.

Overall, Mega Man 10 doesn't have as many high-water moments as Mega Man 9, but it is still consistently fun, while providing more overall content than the Mega Man games that preceded it.

Mega Man 10 isn’t quite on the level of the previous installment: it lacks its “back to the roots” appeal, but only because it comes afterward. Level design could have been just a tad better and the musical score isn’t great: however, it succeeds in delivering a fun and rewarding experience, keeping high the challenge and entertaining the player. Another Mega Man, another little gem.

While the jump from the new Easy mode to the standard Normal difficulty is a bit too sharp, the game still does a fantastic job of capitalizing on the series’ best elements. If you enjoyed the franchise’s old-school reboot last year, then you owe it to yourself to pick this one up as well.

With the addition of Proto Man, a challenge mode, and an easy mode for beginners, Mega Man 10 has more to offer than 9 and can be fun for almost any player, not just the longtime fans.

Capcom has once again successfully recreated a classic Mega Man game while improving the package with tweaks and new content. Those intimidated or even frustrated by the normal difficulty of a Mega Man game can fall back on the easy mode, making the experience more accessible than ever.

With his faithful reproduction not only of a graphic style, but of the overall spirit of the original 2D action game, Mega Man 10 stands as an example of a constructive approach to the vintage taste in videogaming. More than just a tribute, this game is a good new episode of the series and a very hard and exciting challenge.

Long time fans will enjoy it, but the causal gamer won’t have much of a reason to rush out and buy this as it’s just a continuation of 9.

It's not quite up to the shining standards of Mega Man 2 and the extremely underrated Mega Man 5 (and I'm dead serious about that -- go play it before you knock it), but it's definitely nowhere near the bottom of the bin that Mega Man 4 and the non-NES installments so squarely define.

MM10 is a glorious return to the hay-day of 8-bit gaming; a fantastic challenge built on the back of some of the most refined mechanics the genre has ever seen.

It's a solid, if rather unnecessary, sequel in a venerable series. If only more franchises' "average" efforts were this much fun.

It has not many new features or changes, but for sure Mega Man 10 will please its followers, and those eager for a good challenge for their gamepad.
