Mega Man Battle Network 2 Critic Reviews

This is one rare time when a sequel is better than the original.

The sequel improves on its predecessor in many departments, and it’s just plain fun to live in the net world.

It’s addictive and much more varied than the original...The combination of the RPG aspects and the real-time/turn-based battle system is the main draw for this unique game.

This is exactly what a GBA game should be: Battle Network 2 has a simple interface, a cool character, plenty of gameplay variety and strategy, and an addictive quality.

Sure, this isn’t a ‘real’ Mega Man game but after so many traditional sequels it’s about time the franchise explores new directions.

A well-paced RPG that offers unique and challenging battles and a lighthearted story, Battle Network 2 also hosts a wealth of secrets and extras available both during the initial play-through and after the game has been completed.

A great, solid RPG, no question.

The quirky and unique game demands to be played and enjoyed by the masses.

This is pure Capcom magic.

The sequel shines even brighter.

The quest is long, the game is filled with optional material and despite said deja vu, just about every aspect of MMBN 2 is above average.

It feels less like a sequel and more like a remix of the original game.

not going to compete with the likes of Zelda or "Breath of Fire." It does, however, provide a friendly role-playing experience with familiar characters in a setting that is easy to navigate.

Deceptively engaging.

This remolding of the classic action hero was a big departure from the traditional action the series was built on, and stood as a highly enjoyable, solid, and creative game worth getting into.
