WayForward may not fix every small detail with Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition, but the developer delivers an enhanced version of a great game. All the new content - HD visuals and remixed stages - elevates the title even more, making it a beautifully designed and challenging action-puzzle-platform experience.

Even if you bought and cherished the original on the 3DS, this new HD upgrade should be more than enough to drag you back in again, provided you didn't already tirelessly beat every par time.

So if you've never played MSF, this is definitely the way to do so. For people who've already bought the game on 3DS, it's a judgment call. I certainly don't have buyer's remorse thanks to the new content, but you will basically have to play through that of the 3DS game again to get to it. But with those pretty new graphics, who's complaining?

Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition is just as fantastic as its 3DS predecessor. The controls are flawless, the graphics amazing, the music some of the best we've heard in any video game. It all really comes down to which D you prefer, 3D or HD. The Wii U's graphical muscle is the perfect partner for WayForward's art gods, so even if you've already had your fill of the original there's some pretty big incentive to double dip.

So Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition doesn't go as far as it could have gone in remastering the 3DS original, but the changes that are present here are superb – veterans will love the challenge of the new Hyper levels, and the quality of the high-definition art is so good that it'd be worthwhile to buy the game on looks alone.

It is a fun game that will challenge your gaming prowess, especially the Hyper Mode levels, but it's a very short title without being too complicated. In the end it is quite a fun game for ten bucks, and I have no problem recommending it.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition is a very good puzzle platformer with blocks, that can be switched on and off. More levels (not just difficult remixes) would be nice.

Even if you've already played the 3DS version, Mighty Switch Force: Hyper Drive Edition is a fantastic title that all Wii U owners should check out.

As good as the 3DS version, extremely well adapted to the HD and still addictive and fun. Recommended for those who like arcade and retro-styled games.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition is a superb action puzzle title with clever stages that both get the brain working overtime, yet also offer up a thrilling fast-paced platform experience that will keep even the toughest of gamers on the edge of their seats.

Mighty Switch Force Hyper Drive Edition is a great HD version of an awesome game for 3DS. The new HD graphics looks sharp and shiny and the original gameplay is still on top. The few extras are enough to entertain even players who finished the 3DS version.

What a rush! It's like being injected with platform game sugar.

The Wii U version has the same origins of the portable version for 3DS, but provides a second wave of levels and more content.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition closes the biggest flaw that plagued the original title -which is the low longevity- offering a number of stages rightly related to the cost of the download.

Mighty Switch Force was a great game on the 3DS, but it exceeds itself on the Wii U. The gameplay is excellent and the new style looks absolutely fantastic. The hyper stages are a great addition to the game.

This jump & puzzle-adventure doesn't deliver the variety or charm of Fly'n or Giana Sisters Twisted Dreams, but in its own (quite small) microcosm the puzzles work well.

Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition is a pretty hardcore 2D puzzle platformer for all the fans of the genre.

A fun puzzler, but why should fans spend more money on a game they already played? Stingy stuff.

Once you solve the core puzzles - you shunt blocks to reach criminals - replaying the solutions becomes a chore.
