Critic Reviews3

Model Builder’s powerful suite of building and painting tools enable calming and creative game play that makes a potentially tricky hobby very accessible. There’s oodles of potential here but some of that remains untapped as of yet. Future DLC and updates will hopefully tap into that and extend the game’s longevity.

Model Builder, thanks to its handy operating system, excellently reproduces the modeling process from assembly and coloring to stickers addition, and its user-friendly prompts make it easier for players to learn it. However, the small number of models in the game will be used up by players soon and they are forced to do tedious repetitions. Certain problems in system disassembly can be often very annoying too.

Model Builder is time-consuming, rather tedious, sometimes frustrating, but also perversely addictive and relaxing. It offers plenty of models to build both in career and free play modes and provides 20-30 hours of decent fun (if you’re into building models, of course).
