One of the best adventure games of 2004 and likely the best ever to deal with a futuristic, Orwellian theme of corruption and conspiracy. Story, dialogue, character development, settings, artwork, acting, and music are all superb.

With the exception of my two gripes; this offering is, in this reviewer’s humble opinion, on a par with the big games produced by Lucas Arts, Access, the “old” Sierra, and more recently, Microids.

The conversation puzzles are interesting in their own right because the dialogue is so good, but essentially amount to covering off all dialogue paths until you discover what you need to progress in the game.

With its well-written futuristic plot, unique locations and sci-fi graphics this particular gem doesn't deserve a moment of silence, it just demands to be played.

Game Chronicles May 6, 2024
A quality adventure game, filled with intriguing dialogue, smart puzzles, and a gripping storyline that will keep you glued to your keyboard. It is only hindered by a few nagging gameplay issues, mainly in the character movement.

At times completely consuming and gripping, at occasions unintentionally abstract and annoying.

While it doesn’t exactly re-invent the adventure genre, The Moment of Silence is undeniably a well executed and solid title. So, if forced perspective backdrops, plausible puzzles and pulp fiction-like character and plot development are your bag, you could certainly do a lot worse than pick this one up.

Sound-wise, Moment of Silence pulls the game off practically perfect. The voice-overs for the characters all seem professionally done and add an extra touch of polish to an otherwise solid game experience.

While at times you may find the game a little slow paced and the controls and gameplay frustrating, those who stick with the game to the end will come out pleased.

Could have been brilliant, the plot makes it merely great.

From the brilliant intro, it draws you straight into its world of intrigue and conspiracy, and will keep you there until you make it through to one of the multiple endings.

The story and visuals are nothing short but spectacular and the sheer amount of voice work put into the game will certainly please fans. Then again, Moment of Silence revolves almost completely around dialogue, so patience will be a necessity.

An amazing story that many will enjoy - if you have the patience to sit through the lengthy conversations.

The controls are easy but the static camera angle will cause a problem moving around in the game.

A good story wrapped in not-so-good gameplay. Nothing here is terrible, though, and I felt compelled to play through just to see where the story was going.
