Moss: Book 2 builds on the original in every way to create an unforgettable experience. The world is bigger, more beautiful, and areas can be re-visited and explored with new tools and an even greater purpose. New enemies, weapons, and abilities make combat and puzzles more varied and interesting, but most importantly, it delivers yet another stunning tale with the loveable Quill at your side. It’s undoubtedly one of the best PSVR games available and the perfect choice for anyone who loves platformer puzzle games.

Moss: Book 2 expands and improves on its predecessor in every way. Whether it's the emotional attachment you develop with Quill, the surprising twists the story goes through, or the inventiveness of the combat and puzzles, Moss: Book 2 is creative in a way that delights at every turn. If you've got PSVR, it's pretty much essential.

Moss: Book II is not the toughest of challenges, but this just lends to its accessibility, and regardless of difficulty it is an absolute treat from start to end.

Moss: Book II is everything I look for in a game presented in an astounding VR package. While some aspects of the game feel held back by the current hardware of PSVR the journey and world make up for any shortcomings. I truly loved my time with Moss: Book II and cannot wait to see what is next for Quill.

Moss was PSVR’s standout title and therefore it’s fitting that Book II is the platform’s swan song. Even on old tech, Polyarc manages to forge an adventure for the ages. From the art direction to the emotional storytelling, each aspect of the original has been improved, making this a truly remarkable sequel.

This is how VR titles should be done! Moss: Book II cleverly uses the potential of PS VR, offers immersive and varied environments, surprisingly creative challenges, great animations and engaging gameplay. What’s important, it doesn’t cause any discomfort or nausea. It’s a pity that it is quite short, though.

Moss is back with another fantastic adventure that shows how to create a VR game. It’s not as surprising as the original, but still worth your time.

Moss: Book 2 is a loving and fascinating title even more than the first book. Using the original formula as a starting point on which to build the sequel, the Polyarc studio has managed to improve every single aspect, creating an even more engaging narrative plot, an articulated and varied playful system, and last but not least a phenomenal and suggestive artistic direction. . Like its predecessor, Moss: Book 2 is in short a rare gem, and an experience that no PlayStation VR owner should absolutely deny.

In virtual reality, the diorama concept works amazingly well - and one wonders why this perspective isn't used in many more VR games.

Fun, charming and well built, Moss: Book 2 is an example on how a specialized VR development team should work in bringing a fairytale to virtual reality.

Seriously, how cute is Quill? Her adventure is quite the epic one though, and you should be ready for a strong emotional ride. By the way, the puzzles are perfectly integrated into the platform sections, and considering the lack of strong alternatives on PS VR right now, you should just thank Polyarc and give them your money.

This sequel isn't especially groundbreaking, but it still feels fresh, with an amazing atmosphere and very clever puzzles. Even with some hiccups in the control department, it's a great VR experience.

Once the adventure is over after eight hours of play, little Quill leaves a big mark in our minds. By integrating new weapons as well as new ways of interacting with both the scenery and the enemies, Moss Book II gains in depth. Although some environments, puzzles and adversaries are redundant, Polyarc's work is a delight. The element of surprise has certainly disappeared, but the intelligence of the design is still there. Long live Book III!

Moss Book II is a game very deserving of your attention. Its novel use of VR as a medium is fascinating and helps to tell a heartfelt story with you and the adorable Quill at its center. It’s bigger and better than the first in many ways, but is greatly held back by small yet consistent and progress blocking bugs.

Road to VR April 11, 2022
Moss: Book II is a direct continuation of the first game in both story and core mechanics. Generally speaking, it's a longer and better experience than the original Moss thanks to the introduction of new weapons, mechanics, and more intriguing puzzles. The game is polished to the brim with stellar art direction, with each segment of the game being its own detailed diorama with top notch composition. Sound is strong and animations are superb throughout, with one of the game's enjoyable boss fights showcasing Polyarc's animation prowess in particular. Though the 'narrated book' story structure may have hindered the impact of the story and characters, Moss: Book II is a well rounded adventure you won't want to miss.

Polyarc has managed to once again captivate us with their story about a tiny mouse with the courage of a lion. With new gameplay mechanics and wonderful environments, the game will make you sit up from your chair. Not only to appreciate all the details, but because of the limitations of PS VR hardware that make tracking movement very tricky.
