A pretty addictive title and has earned some great marks for sound and gameplay. This title's best features include the career mode which sucked hours on end from my life.

The most interesting element of this robust racer is the trick system which uses a blend of well-timed button mashing and joystick movements to give you access to seemingly endless array of cool air tricks.

Where Left Field shine, and do they ever shine, is in course design, AI and control. MTX is a gas to see and play.

The fact you need to adjust where you're sitting on the bike during a race adds to creating a real MX racing experience. Anyone who enjoys MX games will enjoy this one.

A quality racing experience with blazing visuals, realistic physics, and an excellent trick system.

It's got solid and easy-to-learn gameplay, a very good career mode, and online gameplay which to me always adds points to my score.

Guys and gals that got off on "T.H.U.G." will also find a lot of gameplay value here since they will be able to dig deep into the lengthy Career Mode. Gamers jonesing for the return of the motocross track editor, a la "Excitebike," will want to check it out as well.

One of the best places for the experience of racing in the dirt and having it online makes it even better. The racing tracks are fun to ride and with online stats there's a compelling reason to keep shaving seconds off your time.

One of the more fun extreme sports type games I have played in recent memory. The gameplay is easy to pick up on, but not easy to master.

Despite the unpolished graphics and the less than perfect Live interface, MTX Mototrax is still a great experience, on or offline.

A very sleek motocross racing game that combines awesome tricks system and great physics.

From its training mode (which teaches players all the ins and outs of racing a bike) to its responsiveness and intuitive nature, the gameplay is incredibly fluid.

May not be as challenging as "MX Unleashed," but it's definitely more polished.

The game runs beautifully at about sixty frames per second with no slow down. Lots of the environments are nicely detailed and well lit.

The physics, camera, and controls are great: Everything feels perfect, and there's an awesome sense of speed (helped out by the rock-solid 60 fps).

The depth of the career- and online play make MTX Mototrax a superior choice. The game has virtually no glitches or flawed design.
Game Over Online

The career mode and the concepts behind the single player game are definitely innovative, and are a solid addition to the racing genre. However, a somewhat tenuous connection between modes, a lackluster inclusion of a trick system and a limited number of tracks keeps Mototrax stuck at the gate for all but the most enthusiastic Motocross fans.

If I could suggest something to the game developer, it would be to work on the physics more. With a game that is based on something that relies heavily on physics, don't take shortcuts. The end result will no matter how impressive, always be unrealistic.

Getting the timing down on when to load up the front suspension for extra liftoff on jumps takes a few races, but it quickly becomes second nature. Unfortunately, the game isn't very realistic when it comes to rider collisions.
