This is going to make me sound insane, but I never saw these titles as fighting games until now. They were just flashy vehicles for whatever Shonen Jump series Bandai Namco had gotten the rights to. And yet, underneath all that is a complex yet accessible game that rewards exploration, experimentation and practice. A proper fighting game, in other words. If you’re looking for another 3D fighter, give this one a shot. If you’re a My Hero Academia fan however, you absolutely can’t miss My Hero One’s Justice. This could be the start of something beautiful, after all.

You can tell developer Byking put a whole lot of care into My Hero One’s Justice and the payoff is something that can be enjoyed by any fan of the widely popular anime and manga.

My Hero One’s Justice is a strong introduction to what could easily be the foundation of a valuable fighting franchise for Bandai Namco and a must-own for My Hero Academia fans.

If you want a good single player fighter with a bit of competition in online play for the My Hero manga series, you'll probably enjoy My Hero One's Justice quite a bit. The game is filled with unlockables in just about every mode so you'll have to really grind in order to get them all. There are a total of 20 characters in the roster, which includes one hidden character that is unlocked by beating story mode. Even if you're not a fan of My Hero and enjoy Power Stone gameplay like I did, you'll probably find something to enjoy in One's Justice.

My Hero One’s Justice is a good fighting game that shines the most in the multiplayer and that will be truly appreciated by those who already are fans of the manga/anime. Despite its lack of depth regarding single player content, it is an enjoyable experience due to the fine adaptation of the heroes and villains as well as because of its fun customization system.

A perfect game for My Hero Academia's fans, the game is a fun beat'em up, but repetitive, not for players that don't love the manga/anime.

As much for its considerable roster and the amount of game modes available, My Hero: One's Justice is presented as an interesting experience for fans from this series as well as for those looking for an alternative within the fighting genre. Although its gameplay is not at the same level to the most known ones, its possibilities when facing the matches that are presented make it an interesting title.

My Hero One’s Justice is Izuku Midoriya’s big debut on PlayStation 4. Addictive combat system, 20 anime characters with their unique fighting styles and stages to destroy… All what any My Hero Academia’s fan was wishing for! It’s a shame that Byking didn’t take time to introduce all the characters, making this title more approachable to players looking for new fighting games. Bandai Namco leaves us asking for more and wondering how is going to be the next videogame based on this Academia of Heroes.

The game's visuals and atmosphere are a blast and it is great fun to wield the expanisve variety of abilities. The combat system, while certainly playable, could use a bit more nuance, and storytelling seems confused about who its aimed at. Overall, My Hero One's Justice is a strong first entry with mountains of potential in what we hope will become a long running series.

If there’s one fault My Hero One’s Justice has it’s a lack of ambition, to really try and go for something inventive and new, like its anime counterpart. Still, if you’re jonesing for more My Hero Academia, this will see you through the wait until Season 4.

Fast-paced, fast and accessible gameplay.

There’s definitely fun to be had with My Hero One’s Justice. It’s super easy to pick up and play, the action is fast and beautiful to look at, and it does a great job of adapting the quirks and abilities from the anime to a 3D arena fighter. That fun eventually starts to fade away due to shallow combat and a weak story mode, but overall, it’s not a bad first endeavor.

My Hero: One’s Justice makes up for its lack of depth and emotion by simply being fun to play.

This is actually a pretty interesting game, with a good roster and fun gameplay, although it’s a better choice for fans of the franchise rather than for hardcore fighting fans.

Fun and visually stunning 3D brawler based on the anime series My Hero Academia. Not as good and polished as the best 3D fighting series such Soul Calibur VI or Tekken 7, but good enough to give it a shot.

Should sequels never see the light of day, One’s Justice is still excellent comfort food for fans of the series.

It's faithful to the source material almost to a fault, and it does a great job of including little touches and inside jokes that make it clear that a lot of love for the franchise was included in the game. As a game on its own merits, though, it is thoroughly average. The unbalanced gameplay feels appropriate for the franchise, but it can also lead to it not being very fun for head-to-head play. If you're a big fan of the My Hero Academia anime and manga, you'll get your money's worth from this game, but anyone else should wait for a price drop.
