Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 Critic Reviews

A great game, but it's also the same core experience we've been playing for years now, and it's making steps in the right direction, but inches at a time, instead of true leaps.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is a great game that will give hours of enjoyment to anyone who is looking for a fighting game or likes the Naruto series.

With so many additions, Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is the best Naruto fighting game so far, but here's hoping the next iteration includes online multiplayer.

Players who have yet to experience the Clash of Ninja series and die-hard fans of the anime should without question grab Revolution 2. However, anyone who owns either Clash of Ninja 2, Gekitou Ninja Taisen 3/4, or Clash of Ninja Revolution should probably hold off on a purchase as the game has not changed significantly enough to warrant one.

Naruto comes back to Wii in a videogame with an original story, new characters, more stages and a battle experience so exciting as ever. However, its lack of innovation is a true problem for the fans who bought the first Clash of Ninja Revolution game. For them, this new iteration will turn out too familiar.

Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 features an original storyline that was never shown in the anime, new playable characters, a long storyline with mission mode and multiplayer up to 4 friends. Definitely one of the best fighting games on Nintendo Wii.

It’s hard pointing out why this game is good or bad. This is because the last Naruto game is similar in so many ways to the previous one. It still works great and looks lovely, but we’re missing new elements. It’s like seeing a great movie over and over again. So the question is: how many times do you usually want to watch the same movie again?

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is still a good game, but the rehashed feel keeps the title from hitting its goal of greatness.

There’s much to do in this fun, but strictly offline fighting game.

I definitely enjoyed Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2, but at the same time, I didn't come away impressed with the small amount of changes and additions.

Naruto's back and well, with same graphics and a gameplay system that uses the very same formula of its latest edition, improving the number of fighters and gaining balance between fighting styles. Though it's very much the same game once again, it will take you long to unblock all the new goodies that Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 offers.

So while Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 has a slick battle system with a great character roster…that’s it.

Thus, as well as it plays, we can only really recommend a purchase to players who don’t have the last three. For everyone else, it’s a rental.

Although Clash of Ninja Revolution is certainly a playable game, its main fault lies in the fact that it hasn't really changed since last year's iteration or even since its GameCube days.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution 2 is not a completely bad game, nor is it a broken game. It’s just a game that has no real depth to it anymore.

Naruto Clash Of Ninja Revolution 2 European Version is a good game, it has a great number of game modes and characters. Unfortunately, the inexplicable difference between the classic control scheme and the Wiimote one, with some of the fighting mechanics merely cut off when you play with a normal pad, are there to discourage beat’em up fans.

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution is an adequate fighter that is serviceable overall to its fans, but for everything it tries to do to create an enjoyable fighting experience, it stumbles in the execution or the presentation.

Naruto Clash of the Ninja Revolution 2 is a great game if you’re a fan of the anime or previous games in the series (chances are if you are a fan of one, you’re a fan of the other.)

Naruto: Clash of a Ninja Revolution is a very entertaining fighting game. The combat system works just fine and the storyline is pretty compelling. Too bad that the game doesn't have a lot of improvements over the last Naruto, making it a game that does little to renew the series.

You might have some fun if you've never played another Naruto fighting game -- but anyone who's spent time with the franchise will find this pales in comparison to its predecessors.
