Thrilling, addictive gameplay loaded with tough battles and jaw-dropping moves that’ll lure even the most jaded b-ballers back to the court.

NBA Street has taken the rock and seriously posterized NBA Jam and EA's own NBA Live 2001 on PS2. NBA Street has beaten down all other basketball games on the market and told their mothers to their faces.

Definitely not for fans of simulation Basketball games, but then again, this game is so much fan, it may be.

One of the top five games for the PlayStation 2, look no further. NBA Street is really that good.

Through its brilliant use of an SSX-styled trick system and the way that the developers have managed to make blocked shots as important and every bit as exciting as slam dunks, NBA Street has taken the arcade basketball genre to all-new heights.

Anyone looking for a fast-action basketball game that isn't afraid to tinker with Midway's stock formula will definitely find a lot to like in NBA Street.

The inclusion of Michael Jordan, while it doesn't necessarily add anything to the gameplay, certainly improves the game in the eyes of most basketball fans.

A monster facial to the arcade hoops competition. Bow down suckas - there’s a new champ on the court. Once NUFX works out the kinks, it’ll be unstoppable.

It's one of the best, if not the best, basketball titles I have played on any system. That alone makes this one of the best purchases for your PS2 this year.

It's fast, furious and, whether you like basketball or not, fantastic fun.

A game that on every level, takes the previous conventions of an arcade basketball game and obliterates them, throwing innovation into places that didn’t seem like they needed it.

Not only do you have to be able to play street ball, but you also have to be able to break some ankles and score with style, not just a wussy 15-foot jump shot, which likely would get rejected/goaltended in the game.

Though an exceedingly fun and rewarding game, NBA Street isn't very original or particularly noteworthy.

Street possesses electrifying gameplay with kick-you-in the teeth animations and visuals.

While there's still plenty of room for improvement (the inexcusable lack of a four-player mode), this game does so much innovative stuff, and does it right, that it's hard not to classify it as a must-have title.

While the depth of sims like the "NBA Live" series is missing, NBA Street manages to capture the excitement and energy of the street ball most of us are far more familiar with.

We suggest using the seven foot Wolfman, he’s great at blocking shots.

Okay, so it owes a fair amount to Midway's classic "NBA Jam" series, but it also takes the concept to a whole new dimension, building new depth into the quick-fire action.

While it’s disappointing that only two people can play simultaneously, NBA Street is nonetheless a great choice for arcade-style sports fans.
