Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus Critic Reviews

Abe's Exoddus isn't different in too many ways from the original but it harkens back to that old saying. "If it ain't broke then why fix it?" fans of the original will be totally pleased here.

In Exoddus, you have an incredibly welcomed quick-save option that allows you to quickly save your progress, anywhere in the game as many times as you want.

It's Mudokons. SoulStorm brew is made out of Mudokons! You gotta tell them!

I found the overall balance of the game to be much improved from its predecessor and the gameplay controls tweaked just right. I also liked the save anywhere at anytime feature.

A magical adventure in every sense, Abe's Exoddus stands oversized head and boney green shoulders above any competing title. Yes, it's a lot like "Oddysee," but it's ingeniously more complicated and so long they had to put it on two discs!

Gamers everywhere can enjoy this polished, stylized, highly addictive, unforgettable adventure and look forward to a bright future for the dark, hilarious world of Odd.

It's very clever; the political overtones are great for that last-minute term paper.

Roberto Benigni may have gotten a lot of press for finding humor in the Holocaust, but Oddworld does it too, only the humor is dripping black. Yes, I just said Holocaust.

The GameSpeak feature alone is reason enough to play this one.

Along with great platforming action and pretty graphics, Abe’s Exoddus is riddled with some of the highest quality and most hilarious video sequences I’ve ever experienced.

You can effectively race through the levels without being forced to solve all of the game's puzzles, which strikes me as something of a waste, and a concession to those less impatient souls that want to see all they can from a game in the shortest space of times.

I was awfully frustrated with Abe's at first. But as I got to grips with the many audible commands, I really started falling in love.

Empathy is the game's strongest suit, with tension coming a close second... As a whole the game's a classy, polished package.
