Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers was a total surprise for me. Before even playing the game, my arm was sore just thinking about the notion of gesture-based combat. However, I came away amused and delighted.

Gory, gruesome fun but not a game to bust out next time gran comes round for a Wii session.

Gamers looking to burn $30 on this guilty pleasure should happily indulge.

If you're looking for some cheap thrills, you could certainly do worse than this mindless hack-and-slash affair. If a little more work had been put into the game's presentation, this would actually be a highly recommended game.

For $30 there are definitely worse games you could buy for the Wii, but most will likely overlook the title due to the inherent "dirty" feeling you get from playing a game about a pair of sisters who slay zombies while barely dressed. If you can look past its glaring issues and let yourself be taken in by the simplicity of the gameplay, you might just find a worthwhile, albeit poorly explained, game that’s worthy of at least a rental if not a permanent place in your Wii collection.

To sum up, OneChanbara is one of the most direct and frantic games on Wii and, despite its multiple flaws -especially in the technical aspect-, it is nonetheless an enjoyable game, provided we like button mashing. Unfortunately, its lack of story -which has not been localized to Spanish- and character depth makes us sometimes wonder if so much zombie massacre is worthwhile.

Despite - or maybe because of - the ridiculous premise, Onechanbara can be quite fun.

Judged on a point-by-point basis, Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers is not a good game; the presentation is awfully generic, the story and dialogue don’t make sense, and the gameplay is ultimately hampered by painful motion controls.

There’s nothing wrong with a little mindless fun now and again, particularly when it involves bouncing bosoms and blood-thirsty zombies. Unfortunately, mindless controller waggling scars this otherwise decent guilty pleasure.

Onechanabra: Bikini Zombie Slayers is one of the weirdest games of Wii, a bizarre combination between action and gore, that takes all what it needs to entertain. Its a shame that the graphic engine fails in every way trying to exploit this console's possibilities.

Though there are few features of Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers that attempt to add some kind of complexity -- levelling-up the characters, power-up items, different meters to monitor -- but there's nothing here more complicated than slashing things.

It’s fun, chaotic, and unbelievably bloody. But it’s just not enough to make up for the other glaring flaws; gratuitous violence in video games is only as good as the gameplay that backs it up. Think about it.

The game has its fair share of flaws, a lot of which I've pointed out in this review, but it's still fun to sit down and waste a few hours with it, and that's exactly what I got out of it.

The Wii version is notable for using motion slashing on both the nunchuk and remote, although the attacks you generate aren't that sophisticated. The game's areas are also slightly bigger and require less loading on the Wii.

As a Hack 'n Slash fan you can consider buying this game. Unfortunately the game is a little boring. The graphics are good but the sound isn't. All together the game is nice, but only for a short time.

Onechanbara: Bikini Zombie Slayers is not a great game. It’s not even a good game. But it’s fun, it’s cheap ($30), and provides players with some over-the-top action they might be able to enjoy.

There are some cheeky thrills - roughly two per character - but this is tiresome.

Conceptually speaking, Onechanbara entreats a dangerous dance of kitsch and low-brow entertainment. But poor design philosophy, a general disregard for story, and gameplay that will literally leave you sore land it in a special category of games barely worth the plastic they’re burned on. Sexy just isn’t enough, and contrary to its buxom beauties, Onechanbara is an ugly game from most angles.

The wait goes on for a quality Devil May Cry, God of War or Ninja Gaiden clone on Wii. Only consider picking this up if anime bikini-clad zombie killers turn you on, or you don't have the internet in your bedroom.
