Entertaining and easy to pick up if you only have a few minutes to spare. The multi-tiered puzzles are a nice touch and will keep younger gamers busy.

Hammy Goes Nuts! may seem to be a bit too simple for most, young players should enjoy it.

Far from a well executed game, but it gets bonus points for an interesting base concept.

A fun and simple game that should keep youngsters that are familiar with the film amused for countless hours. The simple gameplay design and interface along with the large cartoon objects and cute juvenile humor is fund and family friendly.

There is no denying the cute and cuddly factor of the cast, and the appealing art style of the cutscenes, but the 2D gameplay, tiny characters, uninspired game design, and a coma-inducing soundtrack should send anyone over the age of ten in search of something else to play on your NDS.

With the dark levels, completely uninspired music, and enemies that are literally sleeping through this game, it would be a miracle for any child to stay awake long enough to finish it.

Taken as a whole, Over the Hedge: Hammy Goes Nuts is an average game with a unique premise. While it controls just fine, there’s too little excitement here to really recommend a purchase to anyone.

It is nice that the game controls so easily so that parents don’t have to constantly be watching over their kids. Still, it’s a bit too short to really justify the purchase.

Hammy is merely average, but is made worse in the light of other games that its key demographic will enjoy.

An undiscerning child may have a bit of fun for awhile with Over the Hedge: Hammy Goes Nuts, and adults may even find the wacky, borderline creepy premise of the game slightly bemusing. But if you care about children (or your own sanity), you may want to skip this one and just get the DVD instead.

Over the Hedge is a game that could have very well changed our perception of what to expect in these kids' movie tie-ins; however, after a promising start, it soon became apparent that we were still heading into an average and linear experience, and that's ultimately all that's on offer here.
