Overwatch 2 has just announced one its best collaborations with My Hero Academia. This means we'll get a Juno and Uraraka skin.

Overwatch 2 has had some great collaborations with different franchises in the last year. One Punch Man, LeSserafim and the recent World of Warcraft cross-over are among my favourites.

My Hero Academia is getting a collaboration that will give new skins for Reinhardt Kiriko Tracer Reaper and my girl Juno. They'll transform into All Might Himiko Deku Shigaraki and Uraraka. These skins will be available on October 17.

These collaborations can sometimes feel forced. You have to imagine a lot to connect the dots between Overwatch characters, and their cosplay. The Cowboy Bebop collaboration, while still awesome, didn't work as well with the chosen heroes. Cassidy's new haircut was enough to turn me off of the crossover event. This time, the skins are really good. It's obvious that a lot of consideration has been given to choosing the best heroes for this job.

The Uraraka skin of Juno is my favorite. This new hero has only been released at the start of the current season. She doesn't currently have any skins other than four recolours, which is a pity because Juno is my new favorite hero. It's wonderful to see this skin on her roster.

This crossover works because Uraraka and Juno are so similar. Since Juno's release, some fans have been begging for a collaboration. Players had commissioned artists to draw concept artwork for this skin. The Juno mains subreddit is full of players who are raving about how awesome an Uraraka Skin for Juno would be: "[Uraraka Skin] would fit Juno perfect if they did My Hero Academia," says one player. Both characters wear spacesuits and float about, giving off astronaut vibes. It's a match made for heaven.

Reaper Shigaraki's skin is a bit out of place. I'll admit that I really hoped for a Mirko skin or a Lady Nagant Widowmaker, but I'm not going to push my luck. Maybe these skins will still be available if there is another collaboration with My Hero Academia.
