Payday 2 is a Co Op game. While it might have benefitted with a cool story arc for a single player mode the game offers a great outing with 3 other friends for an experience that will keep having you come back for more. Payday is simply put the improved, polished and closest experience you’ll find to robbing an actual bank. It’s just legal.

In the end, its faults are only minor, really. This is by far the most engrossing co-operative arcade experience I have had in a while, probably the best since Left 4 Dead 2 came around. Pulling the trigger of a Uzi in close proximity of an enemy is like shoving a rabid Tasmanian devil into someone's face. The guns really feel that exciting and dangerous - one of the key differences between a good shooter and a great one. I have a feeling this one will stay with us for a while.

It's not the desire for cash or gold that'll keep you coming back, but the desire to pull off the perfect heist.

A superb co-op shooter, with rich character customisation and unpredictable missions.

PayDay 2 is a fresh, new first person shooter that makes you walk in the shoes of four criminals trying to steal as much money as possible in Washington DC. This setting opens up new possibilities for a quite deep and solid gameplay. If you liked the first episode, you’ll love the sequel.

The many missions and unlockables also offer plenty of food for many hours raid pleasure.

Payday 2 is an excellent co-op shooter - a vast improvement over the first one.

Shabby graphics and some minor bugs could push a careless eye to label Payday 2 as a mediocre game. Once played in coop, however, this ugly duckling turns into a beautiful swan. Payday 2 is a joy to share with friends.

Don’t even think about taking on hard or above missions all by your lonesome. While your AI companions weren’t the brightest bulbs in the original Payday, they still carried their weight. There were also three of them. This time around, you’re limited to two AI crew members, and they’re about as useful as a pen without ink.

Payday 2 is currently the best co-op experience of the year and a great sequel too. However, if you plan to play it just offline, you'll be disappointed.

Payday 2 is undoubtedly the biggest surprise of august 2013. We were not expecting a game of such a quality from Overkill Software, moreover if you experienced the first episode of the serie. Even the price of 30 euros was leaving us skeptical, but Payday 2 hacks your brains with its intense and addictive gameplay. It's simple and it works, outpacing the ad's promises. With an almost unlimited replayability, payday 2 will challenge your brains with multitasking between a heist to manage, a team to keep alive and hordes of aggressive copas. Simply brilliant!

Pulling off a frictionless heist is the exception to the rule in Payday 2, but the tension is still palpable as you try to orchestrate a robbery without getting caught, and the adrenaline flows steadily as you inevitably repel the barrage of police waves while trying to make your getaway. The overly expensive upgrade system and lackluster AI could use some work, but the minute-to-minute action is thrilling enough to overcome these complaints.

GameTrailers August 13, 2013
Despite its strengths, the original Payday sometimes felt as though it were little more than a Left 4 Dead clone with the zombies switched out for swarms of police officers. A touch of that still remains, but elements such as the new focus on stealth, a multitude of unlocks for gear and marks, and the greatly increased mission variety allow Payday 2 to assume a life of its own, and one far more in tune with the heists we've come to love in films like Michael Mann's Heat.

But while 4-player co-op has certainly been done before, there’s no question that Payday 2 brings something unique to the table. Gameplay is often heart-poundingly intense, whether from the anxiety of fearing detection in a stealth mission, the will to survive an aggressive assault in an attack mission, or just the rush that comes from making it out alive and much richer.

As it stands right now, Payday 2, while it won’t be for everyone, is a lot of fun. Although the stealth mechanics are basic, there’s enough strategic depth and teamwork required so that stealthing missions can be challenging, and extremely satisfying when successful.

Without a doubt one of the coolest cooperative games this year. Unlocking new skills and gears is addicting and fun, and the game demands good cooperation if you wish to succeed. The crime.net system mixes up the missions just enough that it stays fun and challenging. The game isn’t made to play by yourself and there are some balancing issues, but despite these issues Payday 2 is highly recommended for every aspiring criminal.

Payday 2 isn't a perfect game, but it's a damn good sequel. The developers took the best things of the first episode and improved them, delivering an intense, compelling first person shooter experience.

Payday 2 is a great Coop-Shooter with many well designed Missions and a unique setting. The only flaw is the Team-AI – what is not a huge shortcoming for a coop-based game.

Better than the original, Payday 2 is a brilliant co-op action game that recreates perfectly the lives of a group of bank robbers.

Payday 2 proves that you can't plan for everything. No two jobs, despite being of similar set-up, go down in the same way – and without the help of few friends, you'll never survive long enough to reach that tropical paradise.
