Q2 keeps alive the tradition of Persona games having killer OSTs; Shoji Meguro might be the best composer in the business right now.

Even if you’re not huge on dungeon exploration Persona Q2 is a great game. It contains plenty of fanservice and references for fans of the main Persona titles and has a complex and rewarding combat and exploration loop that makes it worth playing even if it’s your first Persona game ever.

Persona Q2 is a solid entry to close out Nintendo's dual-screen handheld. It doesn't shake up any established formulas, but with a satisfying gameplay loop and charming presentation, this dungeon crawler fills that hole for those looking to get their Persona fix.

If Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is really the last big 3DS release, it's one smashing swan song. The game is more straightforward than its predecessor, but this change plays to the strengths of Persona’s multitudinous characters. All up, it’s an exemplary crossover game worth investing hundreds of hours before you even start playing in just to appreciate its nuance.

It’s rather hard to believe that Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth could very well be the last game to grace the 3DS, but it's a fantastic note to end on if that does turn out to be the case. The style and characters of the Persona series fit perfectly into the Etrian Odyssey mold, and this entry in the Q sub-series seems to be a bit surer of itself than the last. The movie aesthetic is clever and well-handled throughout this lengthy adventure, the exploration and combat remain as gripping as ever, the Persona system is pleasingly deep and flexible, and the stellar soundtrack ties it all together extraordinarily well. If you consider yourself to be an RPG fan and you still haven't sold off the old 3DS, we’d highly encourage you to look into picking this one up; as the final release on a platform that’s enjoyed a proud and successful run, what a way to go out.

Person Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is not only an excellent dungeon crawler but also a great swan song for the Nintendo 3DS. A long game, with a good story for fans who can only miss a dub in English and the 3D effect.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is a solid sequel which doesn't change its formula and still works out at the very best.

Persona Q2 is more of the same but it's very good at it. With an ensemble cast of 20+ characters, some clever dungeons and a robust combat system, Persona Q2 is a beautiful farewell by Atlus.

If you liked the original Persona Q, Persona Q2 checks the same boxes while adding a few new wrinkles to the formula. As a Persona fan, it feels like the ultimate tribute to the last 13 years of the series, with nostalgic music and callbacks to previous events. When I wasn’t chuckling over a joke between the cast members, I was reveling in fusing new personas and finally besting a long, punishing boss battle. Persona Q2 is a worthy last hurrah for the 3DS, and helps the system go out on a high note.

I found Persona Q2 to be very easy to get into as a relative newcomer to the spinoff series. It definitely helps that the Persona charm shines through the solid formula which includes a quality combat system and a nice aesthetic. If this is the swan song for the Nintendo 3DS, then it is for sure a quality one.

If you like Persona or Etrian Odyssey, this is a game you cannot miss. Even with its flaws, iit is a great way of saying goodbye to our 3DS.

Persona Q2 is, very likely, one of the last big Nintendo 3DS games, a great J-RPG that unites the Persona games gameplay, social links included, with Etrian Odyssey`s dungeons. So if you love those games, you'll love it... even with its flaws: you have to grind a lot, dungeons are a little uninspired.

Inventiveness and strategy come together in a J-RPG as always atypical and artistically over the top.

Persona Q2 – New Cinema Labyrinth could be the very last great game released on 3DS. It’s hard not being captivated by its visual or its gameplay, which takes the best of Etrian Odyssey and Persona.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is a conservative game with respect to its first installment, but manages to connect with the fan quickly, as the exploration and battle systems are still really fun to play and the huge cast of characters from the series parades through the screen.

This is one last chance for your 3DS to shine, and if you're either a fan of the Persona series or JRPG in general, this is a 50 hour -romp that cannot be missed, even though the dungeon design of the first game was slightly better.

Fans of the Persona series will delight in this dungeon crawling sequel that features characters from the 3 most recent mainline titles. If you can get past the initial difficulty, you'll happily spend hours in this lighthearted and challenging labyrinth-filled world.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth is a nice curtain closing for the license on 3DS. The gameplay is solid and the production is full of personality, both visually and musically. As long as you have done the Persona, interactions that should never have and could have taken place between the characters are pleasant and fun. The story progresses without a hitch and it is not too Manichaean for once — it even ends with a hint of emotion. So, it's almost all good — a solid conclusion to Persona and a good gateway to trying out the Etrian Odyssey series.

Despite losing part of its complexity, Persona Q2 is a great way to enjoy the best from the Persona franchise characters in a fun, entertaining way. We might be in front of the last big title for the Nintendo 3DS.

As stylus-based touchscreens are phased out, Persona Q2 is one last rallying battle cry.
