It's in full-on four-player mode that Power Stone 2 attains genius status. As long as you've got three mates up to speed on the game, you literally won't be able to put your joypads down.

Probably the most fun you can have with two people without having to clear up afterwards.

Fast paced, 3D fighting at its finest level as of yet.

With superb graphics, stellar sound, huge levels, simple but addicting gameplay and the addition of four-player multiplayer you cannot go wrong purchasing this title.

Verdict: Kickass.

The brilliant thing is that with everything happening on screen with four players, the action still remains fluid at 60 frames per second.

Takes everything that was great about the first outing--the insane speed, the fantastic cast, the fun fighting engine, and the impressive pyrotechnics--and expands on every bit of it, without succumbing to the curse of most follow-ups: going overboard.

But Power Stone 2 has gone through more cosmetic surgery than Linda Tripp since it's original arrived on American shores last September.

Capcom has managed to amaze, astound, and confuse with this new entry into the console party/fighting game genre.

You either love it because you loved the first one, or would rather play something more traditional in the fighting genre.

Power Stone 2 may well be remembered as the most confusing fighting game ever created. And a whole lot of fun.

Passing the game is a short, easy task and other than the item collection in adventure mode, there isn't enough single player action to keep things fresh. But toss a few friends on the couch and it's magic.

As a four-player game, it's definitely one of the wildest fighters to come to the Dreamcast.

A four-player oasis in a desert of single- or two-player titles, Powerstone 2 will quench your thirst for party fun. Just don't expect a serious fighting engine or any sort of lasting appeal in when you're stuck playing with yourself.

Unless gamers are intimidated by the sheer chaos of Power Stone 2, this is likely to become one of the premiere party games for the Dreamcast.

If you don't have friends to play Power Stone 2 with, it loses about two thirds of its appeal.

It doesn't completely live up to its predecessor in all areas (ease of play, final boss), but in others (arena design, Adventure Mode) it's actually better.
