Prey: Mooncrash melds Arkane's excellent immersive sim playground with the challenge of a roguelike that gives players a good excuse to dive back into what made Prey so fun.

Arkane Studios offers a very well crafted roguelite experiment, although repetitive on long distance, with some small but forgivable weakness.

There's no doubt, Mooncrash is a must play for anyone who enjoyed Prey. But it's also a must play for any fan of roguelike games.

Mooncrash’s amazing level-design and its fascinating writing, combined with its rogue-lite mechanics makes it a special game, but we’d have liked it to push its own ideas even further. Then, it would have reached greatness.

Prey: Mooncrash has deep mechanics and offers a great content generation system. It's a great DLC to play, but if you want more story missions, you shouldn't expect much from it.

Mooncrash is a great and original DLC that expands a great game.

An interesting attempt to blend roguelite elements within a narrative and a welcome return to Prey’s quirky alien world. It won’t be for everyone but it’s a satisfying, fun and challenging experience for fans of one of last year’s best games.

Prey Mooncrash is a lot of fun for those that like challenging gameplay where you are limited in resources and have to think a bunch on the fly with limited time, but the DLC is not for everybody. If you're the type of player that likes to take your time, the timer will likely drive you nuts and there is no way to turn it off. Either way, Mooncrash offers a lot of replay value in its ever-changing maps and it's an overall very fun DLC to mess around with.

One of the fullest and most clever realization of the DLC concept I have ever encountered. Instead of lazily rearranging old bricks Mooncrash takes familiar elements and really squeezes new quality out of them.

Prey: Mooncrash is a well-crafted DLC which focuses on battles, resource management, and roguelike experience. However, this DLC might be too difficult to persuade players who only expect a thrilling story to continue playing it.

The Prey-Roguelite is well made and uses an interesting design, but the main game set the bar clearly too high for the DLC.

Good, but not great.

Mooncrash feels like it was never intended for everyone to enjoy—instead it reaches out to a certain type of Prey player that will appreciate its systems in a purer form. For me, the slow progression holds it back a bit, but this is an innovative expansion that still captures much of what I enjoyed about the base game.

Addition to Prey is decorated with fresh mechanics and an interesting change in the overall pace, but some of the positives of the original have also been sacrificed. In particular, exploration of the environment, atmosphere build-up and the possibility of slow approach. Mooncrash is still worth playing, thanks to the catchy rogue-lite system, meaningful storyline and great music and sound.

For us, and for anyone who thinks exploration of these worlds is the main reason to play games like Bioshock and that Prey was at its worst when it forced you to go back through previous locations - Prey: Mooncrash is hugely disappointing.

A solid expansion which moves the game in a direction that won´t be for everyone. If you enjoyed fighting and overcoming obstacles by itself in the original Prey, then you will also enjoy the challenge offered by repeatedly passing through the lunar base.

Mooncrash is an enormous paddling pool compared to Prey’s Olympic swimming pool. There’s none of the depth, but it’s a heck of a good time to splash around in.
