Prototype 2's James Heller out superheroes every other superhero that's ever appeared in a videogame. He's faster and stronger than Batman, more focused than the Hulk, has a larger arsenal than Spiderman, and is funnier than Superman. In other words: Prototype 2 is the ultimate power fantasy.

With a brand new character, engaging story, enhanced powers, and integrated gameplay features like Hunting and Mutations, Prototype 2 is a visionary nightmare that's a dream to play.

Radical Entertainment has delivered on their promise of improving the foundation laid by the original Prototype.

With a new lead and a story that actually clicks better than expected, it's a wonderful sequel that surpasses the original. Though some aspects can be questioned, the game as a whole gives you a bunch to do, online and off, and some incredible means to get it done.

A sequel that is everything the first game wanted to be. Great graphics combined with solid gameplay, and even though the story is pulp-garbage for most of the game, it keeps you at the pad till the end.

A nonstop action-orgy of fists, claws, blood and guts. The second Prototype delivers a very streamlined, entertaining and visceral open-world-experience with only minor flaws.

Like no other game Prototype 2 grants the player an enormous amount of power. Yes, the story might not be the finest and yes, the graphics seem a little outdated at times, but nonetheless this game offers a great deal of fun and action.

It gives you options, it lets you explore and experiment, and it's a riotous and compulsive experience. Drink it in.

The game that I didn't really look forward to turned out to be an extremely absorbing and satisfying experience. The longer I played, the closer I was sitting to the TV and the tighter I was clutching my gamepad.

The rough controls of the first Prototype have been tweaked and revamped to allow for a more user-friendly experience. The story also flows a lot more smoothly than the more conspiracy-driven first game. Unfortunately, even with Heller's different powers, Prototype 2 does become tedious at times as there is little variety in mission parameters, but you should still find some fun in blowing up everything that gets in your way.

The star here is clearly the new combat engine, and boy does it deliver. You rise from incredibly powerful to obscenely powerful over the course of the game, and it never gets old.

Prototype 2 has officially redeemed this franchise. The mechanics feel the way you wished they would have in the first installment, and it's a rush to abuse your incredible powers any way you see fit. If you've stayed away from the first game because of the lackluster word of mouth, don't hesitate to jump right into the sequel.

Basically, Prototype 2 takes everything good from its predecessor and adds great narration, enriched by believable characters, and, in particular, a much more charismatic protagonist. The combat system has many nice additions but the targeting system is still imprecise. In its more than nine hours of play, Prototype 2 has the potential to be fully appreciated not only by fans of its predecessor, but also by those who had shown no interest in adventures of Alex Mercer. Really a great title.

With the Bigger & Better forumla, Prototype 2 expands the structure of the first game, giving players a lot more to do and to experiment with god-like powers of the main characther.

The game isn't perfect, by any means. But once you rip your first TOW launcher off an APC and start spraying rockets around, you might be prepared to forgive its failings.

Radical managed to improve the game in almost every aspect, making it a very enjoying and satifying game for every lover of Activision's franchise. Only an unrealistic enemy AI behaviour and a problematic lock system keep it from being a perfect game.

It may just be the incredibly high expectations we put on game developers today but the game suffers from enough faults to keep it just outside of my top 10 list. But, with just the right amount of game play time, some challenging achievements, tons of ways to create chaos and an outstanding cast, Prototype 2 delivers an enjoyable game and has created a great opportunity to bring together various elements into a cohesive environment.

If you're looking for an epic, hugely varied adventure, look elsewhere, but if you want a game that lets you run amok in creative, bloody ways, Prototype 2 is pretty incredible.

Simply put, Prototype 2 is your number one choice for anybody who wants to inflict abject biological horror on an entire army of helpless individuals who are nonetheless just nefarious enough for you to feel justified.

Even when your objectives sound about as thrilling as a Sunday-afternoon grocery run, the sheer chaos Heller unleashes upon the distressed and detailed world of New York Zero while completing them keeps Prototype 2 from feeling like a chore. If you can turn off your brain and just enjoy the frenzied carnage, you'll have a blast.
