It’s not going to rival a Modern Warfare 2 or Assassin’s Creed II with its depth, but for what it does, it’s worth the 800 Microsoft Points (or about $10) that’s the price of admission.

With so many puzzle games on the Xbox Arcade, Puzzlegeddon stands out from the crowd as an addictive and fun to play game.

Puzzlegeddon is a solid offering for the genre, and one that is fully worth recommending to anyone willing to invest the time it takes to learn the system. If you are a fan of games like Puzzle Quest where there is more than just block matching then this is a no-brainer.

Puzzlegeddon offers considerable fun for people of all ages with some surprisingly deep gameplay lurking under its simplistic graphics. It may not be for everyone, so download the trial before deciding to buy, but I think that the 800 points (or about $10) is well worth the price for the fun you'll have.

For what you're paying Puzzlegeddon is a great value and provides gameplay with a surprising amount of depth.

Highly recommended for those with other puzzle-game fans on their friend lists. Takes some successful and welcome risks by adding light real-time strategy elements into the puzzle genre, but its ultimately hamstrung by a niche-sized user base.

Whilst Puzzlegeddon is one of the better attempts at redefining the puzzle genre due to the unique approaches and styles evident, the title’s lack of a campaign and the poor amount of game modes on offer ensures its replayability isn’t to a high standard, deeming the 800 Microsoft Point price tag a little on the expensive side.

It's a solid approach in both concept and execution, but the game just doesn't offer enough to keep you interested for long.

When it comes right down to it, Puzzlegeddon is a decent idea, but its implementation
feels incomplete. Those who love block-matching games and want a fresh challenge will want to pick it up, but most others should wait for the sequel.

Ultimately, I can't recommend the title at 800 MS points, but the demo is available and worth a shot for anyone who feels puzzle titles are closer to their hearts than games belonging to other genres.

Puzzlegeddon has a couple decent ideas, but for the most part I found it bland, boring, and just not that fun to play. I'd definitely suggest skipping this one, and sticking to the classics for the time being.
