With a serious tone, and a drama laden cast, Q.U.B.E. 2 is simply a cerebral experience. You'll be able to sit down, calm your nerves, and look at things from a different perspective, if only for the time it takes to master a sliding Q.U.B.E. jump.

Although the story is sometimes a bit vague and predictable, the puzzles are anything but. This game is a looker with a fantastic atmosphere and there is plenty content for you to experience. If you played and loved titles such as Portal or The Talos Principle this title is absolutely recommended.

With mind-bending challenges, an audio treat, and stunning visuals, Q.U.B.E. 2 is a feast for the senses.

Qube 2 might seem like a mashup of Portal and Minecraft, but it has an elegance that most puzzles games struggle to attain, and even turns its hand to a sci-fi story as well.

QUBE 2 is an outstanding and enjoyable puzzle game that builds upon its predecessor in all the right ways, with a lengthier run-time, more complex puzzles, new elements and gorgeous visuals. Although not as innovative as Portal, QUBE 2 is a step above the rest in both quality and quantity and should not be overlooked.

A package which includes a gorgeous aesthetic and lonely atmosphere with a haunting soundtrack and overall sound design to match. Throw all this in with enough alien weirdness, science fiction elements, some unique puzzle concepts, and it still kept my attention to the very end.

A great game. The story is gripping and enticing, and for people that don’t want it, it’s not forced down your throat. While improvements could be made to the controls and framerate, I had a blast with Q.U.B.E. 2 and I hope that Toxic Games decides to add more to the game in the months to come.

Q.U.B.E. 2 adds new layers of complexity to the successful basic structure of the first game, thanks to a well-written story and a convincing design.

A great puzzle game, beautifully designed and with a very well measured difficulty. If you like the genre, don’t miss it.

Q.U.B.E. 2 is a well-designed and challenging first-person-puzzle game. Unlike its predecessor, it is no longer a simple Portal clone thanks to its great gameplay and updated graphics. However, the narrative can be improved a lot. Definitely, a very interesting indie for the puzzle fans.

Thanks to its derivative nature, Q.U.B.E. 2 never quite escapes the shadow cast by Portal. There’s too many similarities within its core mechanics, structure, and themes for it to stand alone entirely. And yet, once the player accepts that, they will find a compelling puzzler.

Toxic Games has been able to direct its efforts towards all aspects of the original production that, in fact, would have deserved some finishing.

Despite the fact that QUBE 2 improves in each of its sections over the first game, the puzzle genre can offer much more of itself.

I had a good time with Q.U.B.E. 2, especially during the final couple hours of gameplay. Although the unappealing storyline and lack of additional content are substantial drawbacks, the core puzzle-solving experience is still quite a joy to play.

Q.U.B.E. 2 is another successful marriage of smart storytelling and clever puzzle design, but it doesn't do enough to build upon the mechanics that were introduced in the first game.
GameSpot

Q.U.B.E. 2 struggles to contextualize its clever puzzles with a narrative as engaging as their solutions, but it’s still one nut that is consistently rewarding to crack.

Where Q.U.B.E. 2 really succeeds is reminding the player what is great about being locked in a room alone with a puzzle. It's a shame that the execution doesn't spread across all the areas, but there is certainly enough to enjoy and cherish in this gratifying design.

A smart puzzler that builds admirably on the blocks of its predecessor.

Q.U.B.E 2 starts well. Q.U.B.E 2 is pretty. Unfortunately, Q.U.B.E 2 never manages to surprise the player. Here's a good puzzle game that could have achieved so much more.

The sequel builds upon the foundation of the 2014 original in both gameplay and small additions in its artistic strides, but in the end, Q.U.B.E. 2 does little (if anything) with its visuals to warrant this a wholly-expanded sequel, pleasing as its puzzles may be.
