RC Cars Critic Reviews

If you want a good hour or more racing around real-world tracks with small cars, or even ten minutes, this game is one you should check out. Fast-paced racing action mixed with great graphics and a solid physics engine makes this title an excellent one to have.

Despite - or maybe because of - its stripped-down gameplay, RC Cars surges ahead as one of hte better recent miniature-car racing games.

The environments are big and interactive, adding a lot to the gameplay dynamic, and the pace of the races is challenging and engaging.

The sense of speed is exhilarating and winning a race is a cause for celebration. If the multiplayer community grows this could be a title RC fans will spend a lot of time with.

The expensive and all-or-nothing nature of each race forces you to go through the training session motions each and every time, which can drain a lot of the fun from a competitive race.

With a wonderful physics engine and solid visual representation, RC Cars could have easily blasted other racing games out of the water; too bad since the game lacks variety.

Creat did a wonderful job of simulating the jerky suspension, turn-on-a-dime steering, and the sprightly kinetics of these under-sized autos. The accurate movements and weight of the vehicles is represented so effectively that there are times when it will have you trying to climb walls, literally and figuratively.

Even with it’s limited numbers of racing modes and small number of courses and cars, RC Cars remains a pick-up and play title for younger gamers or those that like a little fantasy with their racing.

An interesting change of pace in PC racing, but not without its share of frustrations that hurt its longevity once the novelty wears off.

For what it is, RC Cars isn't a bad game. However, the distinct lack of features, compared to Creat's previous RC racing title, is a pretty big disappointment. There's just not much here beyond the scant few single- and two-player modes and the currently vacant online mode.

Since there's no way to rent PC games, most will want to pass on this and just buy an RC car instead. Good try, but next time, less physics and more fun.

Without robust developer support in the way of patches to add more content, enable dedicated Internet servers and fix disabled features, there’s little hope for RC Cars in the long term.

While there's nothing here that hasn't been done in other games like "Re-Volt," the graphics and physics make this game worth a look.

Those who want to break into the genre, and racing addicts, might want to pick it up, but everyone else can easily do without RC Cars.

Despite being colorful and friendly looking, it doesn't have the charm of "Re-Volt" for some reason. Still, at a budget price, it's a decent deal.

The game does look good, plays great, but just is too shallow to recommend.

With all of the variables involved, racing is often quite frustrating, and you’re more likely to spend more time trying to get back on track than actually on it.

Intensely frustrating, often leaving one with a feeling of having been cheated or ganged up on, while one can recognize the goals achieved by the developers at Creat Studios, it's somewhat harder to laud them for their accomplishments.

There's something inherently insipid about a game that simulates something already simulating something else. You can't help but wonder if fans wouldn't simply rather race RC cars instead of playing this game.
