Streamer completes Red Dead Redemption II in just six days without dying, on his third attempt
Streamer Crayator had spent nine and a half hours trying to beat Red Dead Redemption 2 live without dying. Arthur Morgan, who was riding at high speed, chasing a train, in the old west style, hit his head while chasing it. The replays don't make it clear exactly what happened, but Morgan died. The second attempt ended after two hours, when he was hilariously mauled by a bear while an NPC sat nearby and did nothing.
This could have made viewers question if Crayator's attempt at beating Grand Theft Auto 5 without dying would be a failure. He had tried GTA 5 eight different times before giving up.
Crayator, a streamer who is a friend of ours at GamesRadar+ reported that he was able to beat the game on his third attempt. The third run only took 30 hours, which is pretty fast for such a lengthy game. It capped off a week's worth of streaming and 45 total hours over the three attempts.
It's not easy to achieve because so much is down to chance. You get a gang of bandits that come out of nowhere and try to take down Arthur. Do you manage to get a lucky shot on Arthur, ending their attempt? Are you able to remember the missions in order to face any nasty gotchas, such as surprise riflemen on high grounds?
Crayator is through, either way. He has decided to complete the game by gathering all the items, exploring every nook and cranny, and hunting each beast. This will take a long time in Rockstar's American West.
Red Dead Redemption is a game that we will continue to learn new things from for a long time. Roger Clark, a motion actor, warned us about the pain in his thighs from all that crouching running just this year.
