I couldn't pull myself away from the addictive nature of Spacebook.

Smart, savvy, and satirical, but it evokes the drudgery of social media so well it can drag like a long-winded comment thread.

At its best, it presents a gleefully cutthroat philosophy of human interaction, pushing you to be as terrible as possible within a charming cartoonish parody. It doesn't always manage to hold onto that feeling, but Redshirt has enough unique personality to endure.

A refreshing concept implemented in a competent way. It may get boring after a few sessions, yet the first play-throughs are rewarding and fun.

Definitely worth a play if you like the idea of a Star Trek/Facebook parody game, but don’t expect any longevity from it.

Redshirt isn’t going to appeal to everyone, but those who like the balancing act and resource management that go with management sims will find this is a solid game.

Redshirt paints an intriguing and, unfortunately, quite plausible version of humanity’s future. Too bad that this simulation lives by itself and doesn’t really need you to play it.

Redshirt does manage to successfully poke fun at a lot of social media's worst aspects, and it can be good for some genuine chuckles.

So much potential. So many wasted chances. As a sci-fi satire it works astonishingly well, but repetitive tasks and redundant space missions stop Redshirt from becoming even remotely stellar.

It allows us to enjoy a game with freedom that is really fun and very fluid. The problem is that it has been designed so coarsely and has not polished all the details. It would have been a good mobile game but will be far from this on a PC.

Redshirt is an incredibly fun and interesting game mired in small problems that prohibit it from becoming a must buy.

Redshirt works as a satire of today's society along with its social networks. But if you approach this game as a fully-fledged one, you will be disappointed. Its gaming actions are tedious and stereotypical, so your initial enthusiasm for it will last probably one evening only. Since that you will hardly return to play it again.

The way this relationships-on-a-space-station simulator reflects our real life social networking is way cool. Its price, not so much.

It's arguably a perfect simulation of real-life social media, but it unfortunately doesn't make for an edifying game experience.

Despite the quirky aesthetic and presentation, Redshirt is ultimately as disposable as the poor, easily-killed people it's named after.

The basic idea of ​​"Redshirt" was really good, the humor that mocks the clichés of the genre as well, but this human life simulator lacks some essential things: life and humanity.
