Resistance 3 should not be overshadowed by any other game this holiday season as it gives a unique and action-packed adventure from beginning to end.

With only a few minor issues, Insomniac has produced not only the best Resistance game to date, but one of the best FPS games I have ever experienced.

Game Chronicles September 28, 2011
It is definitely a more personal experience than Killzone 3 or even past Resistance games, with a more focused story and linear mission path featuring higher stakes - fighting for family, friends, and the entire world.

Resistance 3 is far superior to its two predecessors and it's one of the most powerful and beautifully crafted shooters on the market for PlayStation 3.

It hits you right between the eyes from the start and never lets up. The control is tight, the variety (fueled by different enemies, upgradeable weapons, and gigantic bosses) is absolutely essential, the atmosphere has a large impact, the story and characters are compelling, and the pacing and technical style is second-to-none.

Resistance 3 treads a line between homage and original work, loads the player up with amazing guns to play with, packs in a passably stocked multiplayer mode, and offers an amazing single-player campaign.

Offers the same polished experience as the last two games in the series, only this time the action is more focused and tightly structured. Insomniac clearly wanted to make this game a more harrowing and personal experience, and by focusing its attention on a smaller, more personal story within the invasion, it has succeeded without question.

With great visuals and intense heart-pounding gameplay, completed with a replayable Campaign mode and a solid Multiplayer offering that fans of the saga (and gamers who look for a great FPS experience) will love, Resistance 3 turns into the best game in the series so far, making it an epic conclusion to Insomniac's and PlayStation 3's exclusive trilogy.

The single-player (and co-op) make for a game that can proudly stand next to Uncharted 2 as some of the best the PlayStation 3 has to offer.

Resistance 3 isn't just a great game full of marked, inspired improvements over its predecessor -- it's a declaration of intent to become the new heir apparent to the sci-fi shooter throne.

GamePro September 6, 2011
The game wisely fights the urge to simply build upon the thick feature set of its predecessor, and by focusing on striking a fresh tone and delivering some of the most intensely memorable encounters in recent memory, it's transformed a pretty great system exclusive into an essential genre experience.

It's a tough battle: which shooter will be the best? The year isn't over yet, but Resistance 3 is a good candidate. There are 12 different weapons, a singleplayer that offers you 12 hours of fun and then there is the multiplayer. Buy this game and you can play this for months. It's definitely a good shooter.

Fixes the stumbles of its predecessor, reinvigorates the excitement factor, and has exemplary pacing in its single-player (and co-op) campaign. The Chimera are the most terrifying they've ever been, while you control the most empowering arsenal yet. The multiplayer is as tight as ever, rounding out a complete package of polish, mood, and adrenaline.

All in all, Resistance 3 delivers a very enjoyable campaign with some incredible action sequences. Competitive multiplayer is quite well done, and adds quite a bit of replayability to this package. If you're a PS3 owner who loves first-person shooters, Resistance 3 simply shouldn't be missed.

One of the biggest surprises of the year. Played alone or with a friend the campaign here is of the highest order, providing an experience that feels different to the competition while managing to finally build on what the series has always had going for it.

There is a lot to do in R3 and most of it is enjoyable. Sure, there are parts that could have used some work, but you'll probably have too much fun to take notice of them most of the time.

PlayStation Universe September 9, 2011
Resistance 3 is without question the best game in the series so far, and a real showcase of what we all knew Insomniac could achieve.

Fighting the Chimera has never been this much fun. Resistance 3 delivers with a strong atmosphere, expertly designed weapons and an engaging story. By far the best entry in the series yet.

It may have taken 3 attempts, but Resistance 3 is the FPS the PS3 has been waiting for.

Resistance 3 is one of those well rounded games that players will be clamouring at their mates to buy. In fact, I guess this review is clamouring for you to buy it too. I loved it and frankly could not find fault with it. From the single player to multiplayer experience, this title is so immersive that gamers could find themselves getting lost within this game world for months to come.
