It does what every great game should -- keeps you guessing as to what might happen next.

You haven't lived until you've been called a "stupidhead" by a polygon-generated fish named Beavis.

Those in the market for something different and unique, will most likely get the most satisfaction out of the game.

If one game could attract the masses, then the satisfaction and stimulation gathered from communicating is the shining example. Gamestyle expectantly awaits the next release from Yoot Saito and his Vivarium team.

A truly new gameplaying experience that is worth checking out.

If you're a stickler for time, or actually want to keep your REAL pets alive, then Seaman may find himself flushed down the toilet.

Even now after two weeks with the fella I feel great joy and look forward to each morning to see what will happen next.

You simply need to keep giving Seaman a few minutes of your time each day, and you'll be rewarded with a freak show the likes of which you've never seen.

Although incredibly entertaining, unique, surprising, and well designed in nearly every respect, "Seaman" is not perfect, revealing many of the current limitations of voice-recognition software.

Raising and talking to Seaman is an addiction, obsession, and rewarding experience, but it can also be a frustrating and time-consuming one.

Definitely good in the sound department as long as you don't mind that there is no music.

As long as you don't get "obsessed", as Mr. Nimoy would say, you'll enjoy the game... Maybe I just got too emotionally attached to the little critter, go figure.

If anything, this will attract non-gamers, and that is a very good thing.

It's the most unorthodox, weirdest and freakiest gaming experience you'll ever have.

One cool thing Sega was able to do was cast Leonard Nimoy (the infamous Dr. Spock) as your narrator and guide to raising your Seaman.

Far from perfect, but as a virtual pet simulation, it's the best of it's kind.

I urge you to try it out. I did, and found a worthwhile experience that can be slow and frustrating at times, but ultimately puts a smile on your face and gives you a sense of achievement.

Those seeking an action-oriented experience need not apply either; most of the "game" involves waiting, tending Seaman's tank, waiting, chatting, and waiting some more.

This is not a title I would recommend to the average gamer, but it is a unique experience and I found it well worth the time, just for the weirdness factor.

Let's get this out in the open -- "Seaman" can, and will, bore the hell out of you.
