I know that some gamers will find the Xbox Live feature of this game irresistible. For them this game will be a great bargain.

Developer WOW takes advantage of Xbox Live's potential to deliver truly compelling multiplayer races.

I jumped online and started trading cars with other people, and getting into some competitive races. All of a sudden, an old game became almost brand new.

Selecting Online mode almost literally transports you to another game - a new interface and a surprisingly robust and navigable online selection screen.

Even with its online flaws Sega GT Online is a steal at $20, especially if the 2002 game isn’t already part of your game library... This is easily the deepest racer available on the Xbox. It’s a shame that it’s not the best.

The single player experience has been beefed up, the number of cars to unlock in incredible, the online facet is simply some of the most fun you’ll have with a racer online and the overall price is incredibly cheap for what you get. At $19.99, there is no reason to pass this game by.

Battling against real opponents on Xbox Live is a blast, but teaming up with buddies for relay and rally races is where it's really at.

Deal of the century? How about deal of the millennium! If you have even a passing interest in racing games or online competition you should put this one in the glove box, stat.

The gameplay is well done and the game offers that certain feeling of accomplishment, as players must build, maintain, and race the car of their making. This feeling alone will keep many players coming back for more.

If you’ve already built up a garage full of cars in Sega GT 2002, you can import your saved game and be online instantly.

With each release this series keeps losing more and more ground.

The substantial, full game is included, with all the cool modes, as well as a host of new content...but the much-trumpeted online mode is a little too problematic to recommend without hesitation.

Whats unfortunate is there is no real difference in graphics from Sega GT 2002, which is disappointing. I would have liked to have seen better car models, car damage and effects. Why is it that games which claim excellent realism, often the cars handling is poor?

For all its faults, Sega GT Online is a good arcade racer -whilst the likes of TOCA and Project Gotham go for simulation, Sega GT gives you an old-fashioned (and some would say out-dated) arcade feel.

This isn't the best buy if all you want is an online racer. That's, by far, GT Online's weakest aspect, which is why the final score is drastically lower than the original.

I have major issues with the steering being too sensitive, but most everything seems to chug along quite nicely. Outfitting cars and stocking up the garage is always fun, but prepared to invest some time to do so.

Despite improvements, the game does look visually dated, and as such can't hope to top PGR2 in a beauty competition.

The game runs smoothly and offers decent competition from the cpu cars.

At every turn, Sega GT Online screams "middle of the road", beset with every GT cliché in the book and with few noteworthy features beyond the obvious online antics to make it stand out from the overcrowded ranks of Gran Turismo wannabes.
