Sega Rally Championship Critic Reviews

It's an entertaining little racer that, despite one or two flaws and glitches, isn't far off the best racing action you can have on the bus on your way to work.

While there are plenty of better looking and handling racing titles on the GBA, at least Sega Rally makes up for its design shortcomings in mass amounts of features.

The game is deeper than "V-Rally 3" (its nearest competition), but the graphics barely even hold a candle to those in Infogrames' title.

The graphics are sharp and the control is responsive. The winding tracks are fun to race, but they tend to be flat.

Handling is the biggest setback here. In a sport where cars spend most of their time dancing on tarmac, gravel and snow there is very little feeling of cadence conveyed in Sega Rosso's game. Ultimately, your money could be better spent on something else.

"V-Rally 3" may have glitches and the same Outrun-style engine mechanics, but it's more fun than Sega Rally, and that's a shame, because otherwise this has all the trappings of an excellent rally game.

Not only does its gameplay come nowhere near replicating the physics and control of rally racing, but it also looks like a chunky ass.

This game is a big, fat whoopie cushion waiting to be sat on.
