Attention to detail is the name of the game. Despite the over-the-top premise, this is one of the richest titles released in sometime.

This may just be the best high energy sports game on the planet...Soccer Slam breaths new life into the system and gives us a taste of what real GameCube games can look like.

While the single-player mode may get a little tiring, playing Exhibition mode against your friends is always going to be a blast.

It’s fast, furious and above all, a whole lot of fun.

A non-stop adrenaline rush, and as a multiplayer game, it is dangerously addictive.

It has a whole lot of action in a short amount of time.

Everything is extremely bright and colorful, and no matter what’s going on there are never instances of slowdown – except when there is supposed to be slowdown.

With its memorable cast of characters, responsive controls, and attractive, highly stylized look, Sega Soccer Slam sets the bar by which any other soccer games of this type will be judged.

A great multiplayer experience, different from the norm and overloaded with personality and life. In terms of pure fun, it doesn’t get much better than this.

What makes Soccer Slam great is vying for killer kicks, power meter plays, and spotlight shots. It's even better to ruin an opponent's insane shots.

Controlling these guys is a snap thanks to a simple and efficient setup.

One hell of a soccer arcade game...If you have two or three buddies who love to play videogames, you simply have to own this game.

Soccer Slam has achieved a very good consistent cartoon style with some very impressive animation that accentuates the excellent characterisation and coupled with the audio provides a memorable experience.

The game is simply fun to play, and if you give it a chance, you'll be doing so for quite a long time.

Even though the game isn’t much of a challenge for me, I still find it incredibly addictive and fun.

Needs a little more time in the development pot - there's real sparks of fun and imagination here, but the sluggish pace outstrips the game's pick-up-and-play feel.

It has loads of style, but the unbalanced AI gets old quickly.

The game's artwork is simply astounding, and the play is fun, and the only little knocks against it are that gameplay tweaking options are very limited and the commentary gets a little tiresome.
