I liked this game. There was always something new to see, a fun puzzle to solve or another comment from the A.I. to mull over. I never felt frustration or the need to “get it over with.” I want more.

One of the better adventure games produced in recent years, and thoroughly deserves to rub shoulders with the likes of "Myst." It’s just a shame it didn’t come up with the idea first.

The pick-up-and-play nature and the level of attention paid to graphics, sound and story truly make this worth every penny, especially considering this title costs less than 20 dollars (US).

A most enjoyable and mostly satisfying game. Despite being a bit too generous with the sound puzzles, it's a lot of fun sorting out the problems and following the story.

Like many games, Sentinel’s gameplay isn’t its strongest point, but that isn’t a putdown. Instead, the stunning graphics and excellent storyline take the spotlight.

Has a compelling story right out of the pages of Asimov's, with interesting and subtle characters whose soul-searching never tilts over into preachiness, and whose motives can remain unclear without becoming annoying.

A Myst-like adventure with FPS controls. Now if they tuned up Beni's innate abilities, I would have been blown away. The uniqueness of the puzzles and how they work get big ups from this reviewer.

The puzzles themselves are really very good, varied and challenging.

While the machines are nothing but intricate toys, they make excellent puzzles, and the first-person interface that allows you to explore Sentinel's three-dimensional environments serves those puzzles well.

This rich exterior masks a rather hollow gameplay with low levels of interactivity. For those who love obscure puzzles, there is much to enjoy. For the rest, be prepared to travel with the hint guide on as a regular companion.

With an engaging story, a wealth of puzzles and a beautifully realised, fully 3D world to explore, this is a definite must for fans of the "Myst" series and a definite maybe for everyone else.

Unfortunately, Sentinel often undermines one of its biggest strengths by taking those captivating puzzles and turning them into extremely repetitive busywork.

The repetition of the puzzles, the missing action and a few glitches here and there manage to turn what could have been a great game into a good game.

Story twists, character interaction, and a built-in hint system keep Sentinel from being completely boring and frustrating; it's a shame that the repetition in certain worlds robs this tomb-raiding adventure of its potential.

A second-rate adventure title with some good puzzles tacked on to a poor story.
