A high-octane, gun-slinging killfest the likes of which even General George S. Patton would be proud.

Imaginative levels, great graphics, memorable enemies.

Honestly, I've never experienced as frantic, hectic, intense, or smooth a gameplay as this without ever stuttering (assuming you play at levels inline with the power of your system). Why more games don't opt to license this piece of technology is a mystery to me and everyone else at IGNPC.

It's not just more of the same--this creative, fun, extremely intense shooter is even better than the original.

It is not as realistic as some of the new W.W.II FPS games that are coming out right now, but they don't have the shear intense fun factor that SS,TSE has. I had a blast with this game.

This game kicks ass, some SERIOUS ASS!!...A perfect game for the gamer who really don’t care too much about solving a bunch of puzzles and would rather mow down literally hundreds of enemies per level.

The most fun I've ever had in a multiplayer mode.

Though the achievement is not entirely revolutionary, it continues to be an impressive title in its own right like the symbiotic relationship between The Godfather and its second part.

At $19.99 and even $9.99 at some places you actually cannot afford to NOT buy this game. It is so impressive graphically and it's such a straight-up fun game.

Ever had a mob of screaming soccer hooligans coming right at ya? No? Good for you. But if you ever wanted that to happen, this is the closest you can get to it without spending two months in traction!

The environment also effects the difficulty of combat, and the developers have used the engine to it’s fullest in this regard, giving you plenty of crazy battle sites which definitely add to the playability and fun factor of the game.

It's like the videogame version of a really bad (read: good) B-movie.

GameSpy May 4, 2024
While T2E is essentially more of the same, and doesn't quite have the same "wow" factor of the original, the improved engine and netcode make it a much more solid game.

Better than the original in almost every respect; good, mindless fun.

The only real problems are that the game is rather short and it can get really repetitive, as simply mowing down hordes of enemies for hours can start to bore. But it’s still a worthwhile way to spend your cash. I'm serious.

If it's heart-pounding action you crave, this anything-but-serious sequel should slap a smile on your face.

This is a slightly better game than its predecessor, though the improvements are in a "Godfather vs. Godfather II" vein.

The Second Encounter is more refined in every way, if such a phrase can be used to describe a shooter that boasts alien rednecks with pumpkin heads and chainsaws as some of the lead villains.

Anyone who enjoys frenzied shooting and zany physics will be very happy to own this one.

Offers just enough new content to warrant being called a sequel...It is like "Doom II" was to "Doom."
