This game rocks from the opening tutorial to the final credits. Visually, it’s more stunning than nearly anything that released last year and the spooky sounds and kickin’ soundtrack are second to none.

While there’s something to be said for giving value for money, I’d have preferred a more tightly paced story; a good handful of levels are just making up the numbers, and Shade would have been so much better for a bit of trim.

This game is so boring and annoying that I can’t force myself to play it anymore. Now I’m not going to say this is one of the worst games of the year (I think "Lords of the Realm III" deserves that honor), but as soon as this review is over I’m not going to play it anymore.

Not especially challenging, I beat up a Game Boy game a while back for using the tired "move block" puzzle as a form of play and here we are on a PC title that is doing the same.

If the Graphics and sounds lived up to the gameplay the game would be better, but because of so many graphical problems and the awful camera, along with the terrible voice acting the overall enjoyment factor of the game is sub par.

"Prince of Persia's" ugly second cousin. Does not get invited to royal functions.

Shade: Wrath of Angels, is not a good game. It's not a game that I would recommend to anyone. I would recommend Blade of Darkness or even the lackluster Rune, both of which are years old, over Shade in an instant.

Its generic plot and presentation are so bland, the game's few inventive features are very likely to be lost on most who play it.

If Shade was scrapped and given yet another redesign, the to-do list would be endless - wishy-washy combat, braindead AI, insipid level design, soul-crushing puzzles, a towering stack of bugs.

If we had a penny for every bug or piece of glitchy physics we’d seen we would have a pretty hefty penny jar. In the end what could have been a potentially potent mix of gaming genres has turned out to be a below average hotchpotch of half-baked execution.

The game doesn’t seem to have gone through enough balance testing and QA testing.

Lack of inspiration and sloppiness are the hallmarks of Shade: Wrath of Angels. Clunky controls, tedious combat, frustrating difficulty, a forgettable hero, a lame story, silly dialogue, monotonous levels, typos, and bugs all add up to a big mess.
