While it’s lean, it’s certainly mean, and you’ll have plenty of fun sending your friends spiralling down to the ground. Skydrift Infinity is an airborne Blur that’s had most of its content excised to focus on fun, and - as Blur fans - there’s no greater recommendation than that.

Skydrift Infinity is an action-packed arcade game focusing on the experience of flying alone or with others.

Skydrift Infinity doesn't want to revolutionize its genre, but this kind of Mario Kart of the skies is nevertheless always fast, adrenalinic and fun, with a good artistic sense and a decent variety for several hours of heart-pounding races.

I found the controls to be really easy to understand and figure out which meant I could spend less time trying to figure out how to play and a lot more time and fun shooting my opponents down so I can come in first place and be the best of the best. Well, at least in my dreams I am. Guess I need to practice more before I can be the top gun. Overall, Skydrift Infinity is a bunch of fun and minor frustration rolled up into one really entertaining game if you have some friends to play with online.

In a lot of ways Skydrift Infinity feels like the airborne version of the old Hydro Thunder racing games. The sense of speed, the lens flare and power ups are all present in Skydrift, and it really took me down memory lane. Skydrift Infinity is a really fun game that needs more content, more tracks and maybe more events would be nice. Local multiplayer is nice if you have friends in the same house but without an audience in multiplayer I can’t recommend this game as someone who is looking for online only racing. However, if you want a solid arcade flying racer and you feel the need…. the need for speed; then this could be the game for you.

I’d love to sit and tell you about a fantastic feature, or a must-play aspect to Skydrift Infinity that would make you want to rush and buy, and I’d love to be able to praise this game as the must-play underdog flight game of the month. Sadly there isn’t all that much to be excited about. Whilst the visuals are pleasing, even they can’t compare to the other option being presented this month, and that can only mean this one is likely to be forgotten quickly.
