EA Sports Big has once again delivered the big air, big stunts, big hits, and big competition we have come to know and love them for.

Although the control is slightly irritating and the lack of modes disappointing, this game is just pure fun on snow.

More of a racer which happens to let you do tricks now and again. It's a very finely tuned racer, though, with breakneck handling, a great sense of speed, and and level design in the very best EA Sports Big style.

A pleasant and exciting surprise.

Imaginative tracks, cool tricks, a real sense of speed, and loads of unlockable stuff all add up to a racing experience that is not to be missed.

Despite the at times questionable competition of Sled Storm 2, the actual racing is always fun and borders on addictive.

EA took a static sport like snowmobiling and gave it the Tricky makeover, adding more detail, more depth to the levels, and more care in the level design.

The snow effects in Sled Storm are also very impressive and it’s hard not to be sucked into the ‘I can do it this time’ gameplay when you’re trying to unlock the numerous machines and extra levels.

SledStorm's controls handle well. The only sore spot, however, is that performing stunts can feel sluggish due to the slow button response.

As good as the game looks, there are some noticeable deficiencies in the gameplay, including some of the most blatant rubber-band AI to ever be found in a racing game.

It's quick, brash and very noisy but underneath that wild exterior lurks a racer of surprising finesse.

The courses were original and I liked all the shortcuts the game contained, but the auto catch up feature and seemingly "perfect" AI really started to give me some heartburn.

The main problem is that it lacks the razzmatazz and everything that makes EA BIG’ games so fun to play, and is certainly a case of seen it all before.

Sled Storm doesn't just look like "SSX;" it plays like "SSX," too.

An entertaining game with some real character. I just feel that the lack of depth makes this best as a rental, and with the SSX pedigree behind it, that's a disappointment.

Overall the production value on this game is solid, but since the gameplay is neither groundbreaking nor terribly engaging – the game just falls right in the middle of the pack.

The game offers simple controls, fast action, and inventive courses with shortcuts so long they almost qualify as completely new tracks.

A mixed bag of a racer.

Lots of SS's gameplay mechanics don't really work; it gets too fast and chaotic at times, leaving you disoriented, out of control, and bouncing off objects like a pinball.

Playing Sled Storm is a lot like going to a rave - a lot of bombast, hype and crazy visual chemical hoopla...but once the effect wears off, there's little left of substance or interest to anyone older than 15.
