Sniper Elite III's open level designs and objectives pack in more than enough variety and stealthy tension to counterbalance its thin story and shaky enemy intelligence, and experimenting with its explosive traps is almost as fun as popping skulls with a sniper rifle.

Sniper Elite 3 comes back with many improvements since V2 and doesn't go worse in any characteristic or mechanic. Although some missions or the killcams may end up being repetitive, the game unfolds as a game which is fun playing, although the plot is nothing to be proud of. Co-op and competitive modes help expanding the game's lifespan. However, visuals may lack something to be truly next gen.

Gamers looking to run and gun will be disappointed, but everybody else will get a kick out of this solid World War II shooter.

There’s also a co-op mode by the name of Overwatch, which allows one player to spot target for the other and works well over the larger maps. It’s just a pity that there are only two such maps available, resulting in a tight-fisted experience.

Sniper Elite 3 definitely improves the rare but rewarding genre of open-world sniping. Being thoughtful about each shot instills a sense of companionship with your rifle, and we definitely felt an unexpected bond with our terrifying tool of death. Everything involving firing that rifle is fun, it’s just too bad the other elements in the game aren’t as impactful.

Sniper Elite III delivers a solid, less linear tactical gameplay than the previous episodes, but still suffers from some shortcomings.

Third time is not the charm. AI is still bad, but offers moving targets for sniping, which is still pretty fun. You don’t need to always hit the bulls eye.

While not without its flaws, Sniper Elite 3 remains a compelling, tactically-rewarding shooter that fans of the genre would do well to snap up asap.

Sniper Elite III is a mediocre game with a gimmick that escalates it to be more enjoyable than it should be.

For the few things that aren’t quite up to snuff, Sniper Elite III gets a whole lot right.

Opening up the levels could've been a great push forward for the brand, but it has brought a whole new breed of issues to the table. AI lacks perception, bugs show up all too often, and objectives are repetitive. The sniping, that still works well, even if untouched from the previous chapter.

But this is progress, all the same. Sure, Sniper Elite III is rough around the edges, but it offers just enough that it makes up for all that. It succeeds as a shooter thanks in large part to that crunchiness, yet as a sequel it is improved in clearly defined, tangible ways.

Those who are after more than just another run-and-gun game will do well here, and the inclusion of two player co-op is the icing on the cake. Unfortunately the game is dragged down slightly by the number of glitches, which somewhat ruin the immersion.

The package as a whole is still very much a rough diamond, but it's a definite improvement over its predecessor.

Sniper Elite 3 is a marked improvement over its predecessor and provides a fun, tactical third-person shooter experience.

Sniper Elite 3 doesn’t hide the popular flaws of the series, but you can still enjoy being thrown into exotic places from North Africa and its brutal violence.

Sniper Elite 3 is a great title, probably the best in the market for the sniping fans. Unbeaten with regard to the competition, the game still shows several shortcomings, especially in the field of artificial intelligence, exacerbated by open world maps that amplify the problems.
