I went into Sniper Elite V2 with one desire: Disfigure Nazis from hundreds of meters away. The game delivers on this core mechanic beautifully. While I would have preferred enemies with less superhuman vision and better stealth options, at the end of the game I couldn't recall a scenario I didn't enjoy. Sniper Elite V2 is a must for anyone interested in a smart shooter with an emphasis on gore.

Simply the best sniper game so far.

Sniper Elite V2 is a prime example of how a streamlined take on a singular gaming concept can result in something great, even if it's got a bit of clunk to it. The delivery of competent and enthralling gameplay was effective enough that the weaknesses we found were hardly roadblocks to enjoyment.

Even if you think you've had your fill of the WWII genre, this ballsy tactical shooter could definitely change your mind, and blow other peoples' wide open.

Sniper Elite V2 is a fantastic game and is definitely something different from the usual shooter we have come to know and love. While the close combat can be frustrating at times, the sniping is brilliant, and there's nothing better than getting that kill cam right between the eyes of an enemy. If you're looking for something fresh to play this is a must buy.

It's a shame that the AI behaves so irrationally and the levels are so small. With a little bit more ambition Sniper Elite V2 could have been a real gem.

A great experience that will appeal every shooter fan except the "run-and-gun" ones. Even with its flaws, Sniper Elite V2 is a headshot paradise.

Sniper Elite V2 is a solid action-sniper-game. The story about the V2 scientists is nice, well narrated and motivates the player to keep going. The graphics are below average, but ok and if that does not bother you, Sniper Elite V2 is well worth a try.

A noteworthy game that proposes us to become snipers, and quite succesfully achieves it. Not a game for everyone, only for those who are willing to be patient, love stealth and want to enjoy every shot as something unique. It is not a very complex simulator and everyone can try and enjoy it, but it is realisticly enough to become a challenge.

Glitches keep Sniper Elite V2 from a higher score, though, especially in the game's innovative co-op modes, where bugs kept us from completing some objectives. Hopefully, an update will fix this otherwise excellent experience.

An amusing TPS with realistic aiming engine and solid graphics. Killcam is cool, artificial intelligence is not.

Sniper Elite V2 is a solid game and one that should provide plenty of entertainment for those with an interest in brutally doing away with their enemies with a high powered rifle (read: everyone). Sadly there are a few flaws that hold the game back and make it a more frustrating experience than it ought to be. There is still plenty here to enjoy, but only if you're prepared to endure a few rough spots.

Coupled with a solid co-op mode, the game tacks on several more hours to its relatively short eight-hour campaign. The thin story and dodgy AI are balanced against great set pieces and a decent ending that almost begs for a sequel.

While there's been plenty to complain about in Sniper Elite V2, I can't condemn the game overall. There are great 1st- and 3rd-person shooters out there, and this can't be counted among them, but in the sniping subgenre, V2 is basically peerless and should be respected as such among its audience.

After years of modern and futuristic warfare the WWII-scenario feels fresh again. Although nothing is really new, Rebellion manages to conjure up interesting tactical sniping action.

Sniper Elite V2 is a solid game that is surprisingly more fun to play than it should be. There really isn't much like it, and Rebellion has done an amazing job of piecing it all together.

MondoXbox May 21, 2012
A fun and engaging game troubled by a lacking technical production, even if Rebellion made a good job trying to overcome it with a great environments design. And in view of its more tactical and stealth approach, we would have liked a less linear and driven levels structure too.

Developers Rebellion have harnessed the insanely difficult, but addictive vibe that die-hard fans grew to love and even added a few extra aces up their sleeve.

Sniping's sold enough but a lack of variety and dull corridor levels shoot SEV2 in the foot.

Sniper Elite V2 made me watch enemy soldiers getting penetrated by bullets several hundred times and still I didn't get tired of the game. That is a feat in itself.
