SnowRunner is a game thoroughly, single-mindedly, in love with the open road. It just happens that it’s the kind of love that’s bred by getting that road so thoroughly under your nails, you occasionally have to wonder whether it’s actually hate. Care, attention and time will show that SnowRunner is a passion project worth putting the extra mile in for.

SnowRunner sets the bar for other similar simulators. It’s much better than its predecessors, there are hundreds of hours of content, the game looks great and it boasts the most satisfying vehicle physics of all time.

A true Assassin’s Creed Odyssey of driving games. There’s always something to do, something to discover. A huge game and loads of fun for everyone (that enjoys driving very, very slowly, that is).

It’s not an easy game, per se, but then it never claimed to be. Once you get your head around the time and patience aspect, SnowRunner is going to engross you. It won’t win any Game of the Year awards for being niche, but then neither does Train Simulator. If you can convince some friends to join you, then even better. But even as a solo experience, there’s some absolute joy to be had when you get stuck into it.

Simultaneously a big leap over the MudRunner titles and a compelling effort in its own right, SnowRunner's improved focus on the hard fought conflict between man, machine and nature results in a highly rewarding and satisfying driving simulator that is quite unlike anything else.

We were literally ecstatic with the way the wheels deform the muddy ground, or the resistance of the water when trying to wade deep puddles or streams with a medium unsuitable for this task.

SnowRunner is a dirty game with spotless physics. A truck-sized open world, tiring, slow yet extremely adrenaline-fueled work simulation. Maybe sometimes too tiring, but capable of giving enormous satisfaction.

A chapter that improves the formula and opens the series to more users.

SnowRunner is a brilliant off-road truck simulator with a keen eye to entertainment and fun. Deep but accessible, frustrating but rewarding, it's a compelling experience where impossible adventures become possible.

SnowRunner has its issues, but its unique brand of truck simulation and off-road adventuring is enough to keep you entertained for hours on end.

While SnowRunner has a few quirks here and there, overall it’s a fantastic game of exploration and brute-force driving. The maps are beautifully designed, seeming much bigger than they actually are and filled with gorgeous scenery and plenty of goals to track down. The slow pace of the driving takes a bit of getting used to, but fans of the series have already made that leap and those who haven’t yet will find that struggling out of the mire or navigating the ice floes in a river gives its own sense of satisfaction.

An earnest, unapologetically tricky, and time-consuming trucking experience, SnowRunner’s peculiar brand of off-road ordeals is oddly addictive, deep, and rewarding when played in the right spirit. It’s not often we see an authentic, slow-paced delivery sim that doesn’t baffle you with nonsense or try to upsell you a $2,000 jacket, but SnowRunner’s no slouch.

The start of Snowrunner is demanding, and can put off the mere curious. However, for the more adventurous and regulars, this new installment of the Spintires series is a success.

SnowRunner improves upon its predecessor in every way. The game offers beautiful maps filled to the brim with content, as well as deep, engaging gameplay that will keep you playing for a long time to come. The multiplayer options form the cherry on top of this already delicious cake.

SnowRunner is both relaxing and laborious, although there is gracious video gameness to it, like the fast travel between garages. Elsewhere, if you make a mistake and tip your vehicle over, you won’t be paralyzed or have to pay millions in compensation for the cargo that was left loose and swept territory under it. To sum it best up, Snowrunner is a lifestyle game. There is no grand call to answer as you drive at your own pace and do what you want. The game is all about small triumphs. When you get out of some tricky pothole after an hour of trying, you feel like a winner!

By continuing the legacy of MudRunner, this new off-road "racing" game offers some intense missions, great heavy vehicle physics and lots of environments to try your skills on.

Snowrunner is not for everybody, even if you are a fan of driving games. But if you are attracted to off road realistic driving it is engaging, and full of strategic elements.

Snowrunner is an experience worth living, whether you're a fan of the genre or played it for the first time with Death Stranding without even knowing it was just that.

Experience world-famous trucks and deliver various cargo across sunny Michigan, snowy Alaska and beautiful Taymyr. SnowRunner takes you on a journey through the breathtaking landscapes and widely recognised landmarks. The game isn't easy, you need to carefully think about every move you make, but that's why it's actually so rewarding. Having said that, it's a niche video game and will not be to everyone's taste.

SnowRunner is not fun, it manages to be a rewarding experience for a small section of the public and it improves on its predecessors in practically every section. The sensations when driving on different terrains and the need to prioritize strategy and planning over speed or brute force are his best guarantees. It has little to compare with in a market that its own franchise has created, without a doubt we are facing a unique game. Suitable only for a few.
