SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny delivers nothing particularly surprising, it's just how it is: Awesome.

Spellforce 2: Faith in Destiny isn't a bad game and if you are a fan of RPG and RTS you will like it.

Below average and short with a few bugs. Pretty much everything about this game says "substandard".

SpellForce 2: Faith in Destiny is dated, but that's no surprise. What does surprise is the complete lack of imagination and at the same time a unique and seamless transition between RTS and hack and slash. What it does well, is offer a fun time for those with somewhat lower standards.

Even with those negative points and the fact that it doesn't add much to the series I still like Faith in Destiny. Despite showing its age at times the core game play is still entertaining and somewhat addictive.

SpellForce 2's unique mix of role-playing and real-time strategizing makes a return in Faith in Destiny, but it only brings a few new tricks.

Playing Spellforce 2 – Faith in Destiny feels like watching a DVD of some show from the 80s. Before you do that, you have all those wonderful memories of heroes long gone. Afterwards you just shake the head and feel old. The world has kept turning during this time. (…) It has to be seen where Nordic Games will go with the license. There is still a lot of potential here.

Faith in Destiny is not a good game, and I could not recommend it to anyone.

SP2: Faith in Destiny is a mess.

It's hard to find reasons to play this standalone add-on. It is outdated, visually not really appealing, offers no challenge and minimal multiplayer options.

I imagine that some of the SpellForce fans will love this expansion. For the rest of the world, it's a weird genre hybrid with horrible graphics, silly premise and dubious gameplay mechanics.

"Disarming" is not enough to describe this RPG. Six years ago Faith in Destiny would have achieved a great success but for today's standards it's to obsolete and featureless.
