For the most part, though, Spyro is a graphics bonanza with blasts of color and eye-catching nuances, such as rippling water, glowing flames, and shimmering portals.

While there are a few tweaks, this is essentially the same game as the previous three.

Looks good and sounds great, but Enter the Dragonfly lacks depth of play. It is a safe arcade-adventure outing.

The graphics are nothing to be proud of, as they seem very similar to what we were presented with on the PS one not too long ago, and nothing in terms of the gameplay or style has changed a bit or improved upon in any way shape or form.

All in all, the game felt more like a task I had to complete rather than something to be enjoyed.

Simply a decent been-there-done-that platformer.

To get the most benefit from this game this should be your first Spyro game. To many diehard fans, it may be their last.

More of the same, but not quite as good, with crappy minigames and a framerate that's more offensive than calling your political foe a putzhead.

Gameplay just hasn't changed enough. You feel like you're playing a throwback, or a golden oldie, not a new release.

Only a slightly better than average platformer. Slightly. Up against games such as "Sly Cooper" and "Ratchet and Clank," it doesn't hold a candle.

Run, not walk, far away from this piece of junk. Do not buy this game at all costs or you will regret it. You have been warned.

An entirely average platform romp skewed for a dumbed-down audience that doesn't live up to expectations.

There really isn’t anything that separates it from other Spyro games. Actually in a lot of ways the PS1 games are much more enjoyable and original.

The gameplay is not very addictive and feels more of a farce than an enjoyable adventure game.

Little children or people with no desire to experience innovative gameplay take notice; Enter the Dragonfly has your number dialed.

Having been developed by Check Six Games this time around (since Spyro's original developers, Insomniac, left to pursue other interests), Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, complete with N64 graphics, Carrot Top-caliber annoying sounds, and gameplay that's more bland than a sandwich without mayonnaise, is quite simply craptacular.

Control-wise, I hate the slippery, jittery interaction between character and camera.

Check Six Studios has clearly designed this installment of the Spyro franchise for very young gamers, and with that demographic, the title works well. Unfortunately, this limited scope will bore anyone familiar with other platforming titles.

Feels flat and recycled, a perfunctory exercise to suck in the remaining loyalists.

A train wreck of a game that has no direction, no technical merit, and little appeal except as a game design house of horrors and a showcase for some good music by Stewart Copeland.
