DICE, Criterion and Motive join forces to give us a game worthy of the Force. They have learned their lesson and, this time, we have the Star Wars game we all deserve, with enough variety and a lot of content for every kind of player.

Star Wars Battlefront II is the most complete game of the franchise. With a campaign mode that lives up to the expectations and an improved online mode, Electronic Arts and DICE put the series right where it belongs.

With Star Wars Battlefront II, DICE and EA have righted most of the wrongs from the first game, and have created one of the best Star Wars games ever.

It's clear that the developers have been paying close attention to player feedback, as this feels like a significant improvement over the previous entry in the series. Major additions like the single-player campaign, the revamped Star Card system and the streamlined game modes all make for a much more robust moment-to-moment playthrough. There's still room for improvement with the loot box system, but it's already been fixed once, and there's every chance that it's only going to get better. The look and feel of Star Wars has been expertly captured in every inch of this game, while the battles are a faithful homage to the most exciting conflicts in the entire series.

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 succeeds not only in resuming from where his predecessor had left but doing more, improving in all respects and giving us a campaign that, though not revolutionary, remains of undeniable quality.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 manages to deliver a great multiplayer experience that the previous game couldn't. Although the campaign is relatively short with its 4 hours, the online portion makes up for that with fast-pace action.

Star Wars Battlefront II is a game rich with content and extremely close to the Star Wars Universe. Graphics are impressive and the gameplay is simple and solid. Iden is not the character we expected, but the campaign has the power to brings all the Star Wars Experience directly to the player, taking him to the different planets and giving him eventually a limited perspective of what happened from Episode VI to Episode VII.

A great sequel to the 2015 game. Star Wars: Battlefront II feels like a complete product, but the loot box thing surely is going to cause bad reactions.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is a good follow-up to the first game with enriched content, refined gameplay that works to perfection and awesome visuals. We would have loved a longer solo mode to be honest.

Despite the micro-payments and the controversy after the launch, Star Wars Battlefront II is a more than remarkable shooter of the saga created by George Lucas. A fun, exciting and content-rich shooter that, unlike its predecessor, guarantees many hours of "pew-pew" before the player begins to tire.

The new Battlefront game is way better that previous one. The story mode is not the best part of it, but the game really shines in multiplayer.

All things said and done Star Wars Battlefront II is still worth playing and yes buying. It is a rich universe and a ever expanding one. However I simply think they tried to achieve too much all at once. I would love to see more of Iden Versio and even more focus on a solid single player campaign. This has been achieved in the past and I’m sure can been done perfectly in the future. The strength of Star Wars has always been in its story, and I know that gamers would fork out their cash for one epic play of such a tale.

Content and gameplay wise, Star Wars Battlefront II feels like a stellar sequel, with a great multiplayer experience and a thrilling starfighter mode. Too bad for a disappointing single player campaign and the messy progression system.

So, does Star Wars Battlefront II fulfill the Star Wars fantasy? I believe it does, but it’s a very Empire Strikes Back fantasy; it’s not all lightsabers and Force-using. Sometimes it takes a blaster or two to get the job done or some fancy flying. It may require some frustrating moments of Dagoba-style training. At the end of the day, no matter who gets frozen in carbonite or loses a hand, you’ve got your squad to think about. Only together can you overcome the odds stacked against you.

A very strong multiplayer offering tarnished by overly complicated character progression, and a lavish, beautiful story campaign lacking in substance or subtlety.

Star Wars Battlefront II improves on the original with more maps and heroes, but there are fewer modes, and the online gameplay may waver over time for some. Regardless, the core gameplay is solid, and the new Galactic Assault is excellent. The single-player content is still slim, but the campaign is nonetheless a great inclusion that adds more than you’d think to the official canon. I’m not a huge fan of the Loot Crates, though I’d live with it for the promised free DLC, the first of which has content from The Last Jedi. Still, in a perfect world, Star Cards would be fairer to obtain and unlocking heroes wouldn’t be such a grind. EA plans to keep tweaking the game post launch and adding content through Live Service, and I’m intrigued to see how the game evolves over time. Overall, Star Wars Battlefront II isn’t a shooter for everybody, but it’s a must-have for fans. Indeed, the Force is strong with this one.

Star Wars Battlefront II draws a line from the past of the license. Complete overhaul of the space combat system, disappearance of the walker mode, addition of classes, significant content at the launch, various objectives, addition of a solo campaign. Everything we have expected in the first one is finally here. Only the cash shop and the feeling of shooting (little bit spineless) are problems. Despite that we have in front of us a complete Star Wars game, especially with best the SW space combat since the X-Wing series.

I had a ton of fun playing Star Wars Battlefront II. It executes on presenting the Star Wars universe near-perfectly. The sights and sounds of lightsabers and blaster fire encapsulate every child-like midichlorian in your body. The campaign, while disappointing, is a small part of the complete package. There is enough content to keep you busy for dozens of hours, but the progression system may need an overhaul if EA wants to keep a strong multiplayer audience engaged.

Star Wars Battlefront II is full of fan-service and it's a very solid videogame too, whose main issues are a series of monetary-driven bad design decisions. Even so it's still one of this year's strongest titles.

Star Wars Battlefront 2 manages to fulfill every desire its community has wished for, but it fails at delivering solid content and gameplay. The progression system has also been spoiled by random loot boxes almost entirely. Still, it definitely succeeds at letting you fantasize with a rich and spectacularly detailed universe.
