SteamWorld Heist is the best Nintendo 3DS game released in 2015, and its multiple difficulties ensure that both new and veteran tactical gamers can have fun in its wonderful world of robot pirates.

What more can I say? I loved SteamWorld Heist and I think everyone should play it. Even if you don't normally like tactics games, Heist might be able to change your mind. It might not make a lot of Game of the Year lists, but I can assure you that it is one of 2015's best.

Whether you were a fan of SteamWorld Dig or not, I think you’ll find that Heist offers up a considerable departure from the previous game, along with a much lengthier and challenging campaign.

SteamWorld Heist is one of the most well thought-out and fully realized gaming experiences I’ve had throughout this year. If you’re itching for a fantastic turn-based space adventure, look no further.

Imagine & Form proved themselves to be formidable developers with the release of SteamWorld Dig, but SteamWorld Heist just takes it to another level in so many ways. It’s simple yet ambitious with a presentation as charming as its execution. Becoming a robotic tactician never felt so good with its stellar combat mechanics.

SteamWorld Heist is another excellent game from the folks at Image & Form. While I wish that the skill trees were less linear, I honestly have nothing else to complain about.

SteamWorld Heist is easily the best 3DS eShop game I played in 2015, and one of the best 3DS games I've played, period.

While not a narrative that would be found in a larger-scale RPG, the story is engaging enough to make keeping track of all the various factions and personalities not only worthwhile, but entertaining.

SteamWorld Heist is an entirely different proposition to its predecessor, and that's no bad thing. Its quirky blend of a 2D perspective, allied with turn-based strategy and skill-based attacks, is a surprisingly addictive combination.

Because it’s so different from the past games, the fact that it comes under the Steamworld umbrella is a bit jarring, but the whole Western cowboy theme fits in nicely with the game.

SteamWorld Heist is one of the biggest surprises of 2015. Pleasant turn-based gameplay is never boring and the humorous aspect is only positive. Most importantly, the fighting system is extremely engaging, even at the very beginning.

SteamWorld Heist is another gem. The universe and its inhabitants are joyful to play with and kept me coming back for more. Image & Form took a bold step by not opting for the easy route, instead choosing to expand on an already interesting theme. Heist is as good as any full priced 3DS game out there; and in most cases, even better.

Steamworld Heist is a package full of brightness: addictive gameplay, superb presentation, hours of strategic action, fun characters and a complete space adventure. Without a doubt this is one of the best digital games on Nintendo 3DS for beginners or experimented gamers.

If we had to pick a definitive steampunk space robot pirates tactical role playing strategy game, this one would have to take the cake. You will lose quite a lot of hours in SteamWorld Heist.

Steamworld Heist is a ton of fun, and developer Image and Form are doing a great job of trying new things following the surprise success of Steamworld Dig.

Image & Form once again proves that enjoyable basic mechanics are key to success. Shooting is so well executed in SteamWorld Heist that it kept me excited throughout the whole over a dozen hours long campaign.

Steamworld Heist stole my heart. The characters are charming, the combat is addictive, and the Firefly-style adventure made every battle a blast. Besides some annoying instances of post-battle maintenance, I rarely felt the need to power down these robots.

The inventory system's a little rusty but SteamWorld Heist still gives you plenty of bang for your buck.

Its strategy gameplay is a lot of fun, and the adventure has a good length and lots of replay value. Image & Form tries something different from Dig and succeeds again with one of the best download-only games of the year for the 3DS.
