I strongly suspect that, a hundred years or so down the track, Steins;Gate will be remembered as a truly classic narrative, for it is both entertaining and intelligent. Your grandkids may well be playing this one for their high school class assignments, and that's a pretty neat thought.

The lack of 'gameplay' will put some people off, but if you are a fan of Visual Novels or love a good story, then Steins;Gate is a game you need to play!

This is one of the most original, interesting and smart visual novels ever made. With a story that catches you from the beginning to its end, Steins;Gate is already a classic.

Steins;Gate is a complex visual novel with a costly time commitment, but it offers one of the best stories on the Vita.

Even though Steins;Gate has some interactive components that allow you to impact the story's outcome, it's important to know that it's possible to go for hours at a stretch here and never have the opportunity to do anything more than press X to advance the text.

It’s a genuinely interesting story to try and wrap your head around, and a perfect game for the Vita, to boot.

Fans of fellow Vita visual novels like Zero Escape and Danganronpa should make this a priority.

It's a visual novel, so be prepared to read a lot of text. If you like the genre, though, it's really well written, and it definitely deserves a shot.

As with any book, you’ll want to take Steins;Gate out and about without being tethered to a desk or sofa.

I just wish that the dating elements had been more smoothly incorporated into the established narrative and not forced (gruesomely at times) on the player. Sometimes, it’s enough to just be friends.

Steins;Gate is a suitable introduction to the visual novel, but content-wise it's certainly not for everyone.
