A great game. The combination of turn-based tactics and limitless strategic operations places it as one of the finest strategic wargames of all time.

For the most part, it's a satisfying re-creation of the struggle that defined the 20th century. But because it lacks a challenging AI, it eventually falls apart as anything other than a multiplayer game.

World War 2 flavor strategic decision-making is the order of the day, and despite all of Strategic Command's quirks and flaws, the stew as a whole is quite tasty.

If you're looking for some "war gaming lite" or are new to war games, Strategic Command's simple play mechanics and grand scale might make it an enjoyable diversion for you.

SC may lack the luster of today's games that require a GB of space and the highest of everything for the ultimate gaming experience, but for a game that only requires 30 MB of space, it can be truly addictive.

It's an addictive little game for a while, but after you've beaten it a few times, you won't go back.
