It’s a shame that such a well thought out RPG story mode got destroyed by long loading times and lack luster driving mechanics.

There are too many unbalanced issues in the game to make it a worthy handheld gaming experience. Street Supremacy is definitely better than its PlayStation predecessor, but not by that much.

Street Supremacy keeps the basic concept of Genki's big brother console racers intact, but a lot of the superfluous stuff that immerses you in the world is lost, THEN the game starts beating you over the head with loading screens. Good, but not great.

The structure is here for a great title, but it doesn't help when half the game's gone up in smoke.

The concept of team battling is presented in a very entertaining, addictive way, and the ultimate cross between strategy, RPG, fighting...and of course racing games is enough to make someone's mind explode. But it's all ruined by unpolished, at times horrible control, nearly rendering the game unplayable in spots.

The game is not horrible, but there is nothing really awesome to overcome the games bad parts.

The game suffers from long loads, poor control and an unplayable multi-player mode.

There isn't much can be said about Street Supremacy, except this: stay away.

Most of the game will be spent staring at constant loading screens, 30 second races where you either win or lose by a huge margin, or cursing your team leader for constantly starting a turf war when you want to go back to your garage and update your car.

Not to mention that Street Supremacy includes quite possibly the most perplexing and seemingly broken ad-hoc multiplayer mode we've ever seen on the PSP.

Street Supremacy would've done fairly well on consoles six years ago, but for a modern racer, it's barely passable. The lack of any style, substance or polish makes this one you should skip, no matter how much you loved Tokyo Xtreme Racer.

It attempts to do something new, but unfortunately the lackluster driving experience drags the game down.

What promises to be a “race through Tokyo’s traffic-filled streets” is actually a race down a featureless gray highway that can barely manage to put two cars on your screen at once, one of them being your opponent.

It’s not only one of the most bland racing games available but it also manages to take a list of gorgeous cars and an interesting concept and make us wish we were playing a much better game than this one.

Genki's seeming inability or unwillingness to fix the slidey physics even a little bit keeps each game from greatness. Hardcore TXR fans will likely cry foul at that remark, but anyone who wants their virtual racing to at least slightly resemble the feel of real driving will feel the same way.

Street Supremacy may be pretty cool for its strategic twist, but when actually getting behind the wheel is so ponderous and unengaging, then for all you care, those other gangs can just have Tokyo.

The best ice-racing simulator for the PSP. Too bad there's no option for winter tires.

The loading times are annoying, there’s a ridiculous maze of menus to wade through to get to the races, and, when you do hit the road, the controls are poor and the racing system is just bizarre.

With the street racing genre having done to death already, this copycat is a lazy port of the poor Dreamcast racer. If you're looking for a quality title, look elsewhere.

While the basics of the story are merely boring, its implementation is downright awful.
