It’s one of the most addicting and fun games you may ever play on your GBA.

Since varying gems possess different powers, this "Tetris"-inspired game requires more foresight than its predecessor.

Alone or with a friend, there's no better GBA puzzle game.

Like most puzzle games, it's all in the gameplay, and Puzzle Fighter's model is more imaginative and works a lot better than most of the others we've seen lately.

Super Puzzle Fighter II's Puyo-style gameplay might be derivative and simple, but the overall quality is second to none.

Among the most addictive, frantic, and fun of the latter-day Tetris/Puyo Pop/Dr. Mario clones, but the true insanity is reserved for two people.

'Very cool' can easily describe just about everything there is to say about this title. There aren't a lot of good puzzle games out there that copy the Tetris style yet somehow improve on it in some ways, but Super Puzzle Fighter II is one such game.

May be old, but it's still one of the best puzzle games ever made. Thankfully, this handheld incarnation delivers a stunningly accurate port.

Yet another blending of two totally different game styles that works out incredibly well.

The learning curve is a bit greater than it has to be because of some less-than-complete instructions, but the time spent figuring out the ins and outs of the game will be well worth it.

One of those few games that anyone must have played in order to truly call themselves a hardcore gamer. However, if multiplayer is what you’re after, the PlayStation version might actually end up being more affordable in a few months than two copies of the GBA version.

The best damn puzzle game of the last 10 years has finally made it, in perfect form, to GBA... The game is, however, excruciatingly difficult, so consider yourself warned.

Personally, even though I'll still pick up this game casually every now and then, I'm sticking with the, in my opinion, better-designed "Puyo Pop."

A fine puzzle game by itself, but the people who will really like it are the ones who appreciate things like Dan Hibiki's crazy shenanigans or win quotes like, "Don't you recognize me? Cyberbots is Capcom's #1 game!"

Though the game suffers a bit musically and the 2 player versus mode is a bit lacking, the overall package is well presented and worth a purchase.

This game is challenging and will last quite a while since every game is completely random and there is plenty to unlock including more music, new characters, and new character outfits. The biggest problem with this game is the fact that you need two copies of the game to play on two systems.

Like its PlayStation predecessor, players can customize the difficulty level, game speed, and other options, or they can challenge a friend in two different ways: via Game Link Cable or on the same system.

Plays very well, makes a great link cable game, and still stands as one of the best Tetris-style puzzle games ever made. Purists may find the slowdown a little disappointing.

I’m not sure why it wasn’t a little harder to beat in the end though. There are many goodies to unlock and keep you busy for a while, but it all depends on how much you like puzzle games.

Yes, we've been here before, but Puzzle Fighter is one of the handful of Tetris clones that at least lies in the same league as Pajitnov's masterwork.
